Coquitos — Restaurant in Hollywood

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to come on here and share my wonderful night. A group us attended the New Years Eve celebration last night at Coquitos Bar and we were highly impressed with the entire experience. We paid a $50 entrance fee that included drinks, food, and live entertainment. There’s literally nowhere in Hollywood that can beat that price. From the moment that we walked in the doors, the owner was there to greet us, and told us that if we needed anything to directly ask for him. I personally observed him going from table to table and talking with all of the patrons. When he came to our table, he asked us how was our food & drinks, and if we had any complaints. What owner does that? It really left a great impression on us. I honestly don’t understand the few complaints that I’ve seen on here because from the looks of it, they really care about their customers. The place has TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service. We paid a $30 per person for a 4 person table/cover to watch the Live Rock n Roll band, which was great. We waited 1 hr. and 20 min. for the waitress to take our order. We constantly kept reminding the server to take our order but she kept dismissing us. Finally they got the waitress manager and told her we had not been served and to my surprise she was the waitress that we kept telling to take our order. We decided to get water bottles from the billiard place a few doors down and bring them into the establishment. Our drinks came and it was terrible. The tequila sunrise was just cheap tequila...

So disorganized. I was there on a Friday night. The bar takes forever to make a drink and take payment, no register just a square app on a iPad. . Ordered overpriced bad food and it took forever to get it (48 mins). My friends and I ordered 3 beers and 2 vodka sodas. It took then 23 mins to get them and the drinks were weak.
