Eleganté Ristoranté & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Honesdale

We had our grandson's birthday party there this weekend. The food was delicious but unfortunately the waitstaff was not the nicest. We were told to take the decorations off of the walls but we could hang them off the table where the food was set up where people will be brushing up against them Mind you, it's a room where receptions, parties, etc. are held. I highly doubt that they only allow decorations on tables for those events. I usually don't complain about these things but what prompted me to do sure is the fact that my grandson was playing with a cozy coupe type toy, which he and other children used for over two hours in full view of the waitstaff. When a couple of party guests pulled the string on confetti party poppers and popped a confetti filled balloon, which we were going to sweep up ourselves and did, which prompted a dirty from one of the waitstaff. She then proceeded to take the toy my grandson and others had been playing with, in view of her for over two hours, away from him causing him to cry. This was unacceptable!! When I told her so we were told that it's an insurance issue. Why was it even there in the first place?? It could have been handled differently and not make my grandson cry at his own party. He's only 2, by the way. They even had the nerve to try to twist it around on us and say why did we even take it for him to play with?? It was a very nice party in a nice place with good food up until that point and we we're even talking about having all our parties there from now on....

Absolutely nothing good to say about the insult to Italian restaurant or food for that matter. Rude and sad business practices barely gets a quarter of the order correct and than wants to rudely imply that We never asked for chicken on a Caeser salad. Haveing worked for a food delivery service for many years. I have seen many things like premade calzones the day or so before. Than cutting them open to add ingredients, that are uncooked i am not sure where their serve safe certificate came from or who supposedly took the tests but they are not being used at this establishment. Processed precut turkey being passed off as fresh cut on premises, i am unsure what they are passing off but I will never order for delivery or visit again. If you order something and it's not correct 2 hours after calling still not corrected. And was given the reasoning "Oh you still want that", no giving money away for a service that is not correct is not a practice of anyone that works...

My son and I stopped here on our way through Honesdale. I can’t rate the food because we never got any. We were given a two person table during a busy time and the bus boy gave us a menu and took our drink orders. We told him we knew what we wanted but he said to wait for the waitress. The waitress never came or said hello or took our order. We initially gave her the benefit of the doubt because the tables were full. But even as some cleared out, she attended to other tables and never came to us. We saw the bus boy and asked him to get our waitress, because we didn’t know who it was. He asked her in front of us if our table was hers and she said yes, but still didn’t take our order or even come to the table. We gave her one more chance to come by, but she asked the table next to us if they were good and walked away. We were hungry but after 30 minutes and two glasses of lemonade and being rudely ignored we left. Waitress was...
