Had to look at the building directory board to find out where they were - walked down the stairs to the basement level and there they were - with a very low profile signage. Bought their cheesecake (of course) and some other cold desserts in their refrigerated display case. In my head cheesecake is grouped into 2 types: cheesy, solid and heavy, or cream cheesy, soft and fluffy. This cheesecake is definitely the latter - perhaps also known as the soufflé type. Although I prefer the heavy solid type, I did like their cheesecake - it tasted mellow and gentle with a hint of classy vanilla - and not stingingly sweet and loud like the cheaply-made-but-still-expensive cheesecakes too often found everywhere. Their other desserts, unfortunately, were not great. They weren’t bad, but not outstanding. The Mont Blanc - I have to mention - was rather a swirly mound of big disappointment. But their cheesecake - yes, their cheesecake is definitely worth descending into the hospital...

The first time I've heard of Aloha State Bake Shop was when it was featured on YouTube's Amanda&FelixEats channel. Since I was stuck waiting at the Medical Arts Building, I thought I would check this place out. So I head down to the basement level and was surprised on how small, yet cute this dessert shop was. Despite it's small appearance, it offered various grab-and-go kawaii desserts such as cream puffs, cups of pana cotta, tiramisu, pudding, and slices of cheesecake. The black sesame cheese cake drew my attention and I'm glad I got it. It had that regular cheesecake flavor and texture, but with an earthy-nutty flavor, which I enjoyed. It was surprisingly delicious and decadent. It's not overly sweet, like most cheesecakes. I definitely recommend checking this place out and would likely come back to taste the...

I needed a last minute cheesecake and could not be happier to have stumbled upon this bakery in my Google search. They were able to provide a cheesecake even though I had not ordered it a day ahead, and it was phenomenal! My spouse & I agreed it was probably the best cheesecake we’ve had. You could really taste the local vanilla and cheese flavor, it wasn’t overly sweet. It was just perfect! We will definitely be back!

A quick tip - this place is a little hard to find. The map will take you to the right building, but they are in the basement. It smells amazing as soon as you enter the door so you know you’re in the...

They make the BEST cheesecake ever! My husband usually doesn’t like cheesecakes but he loves this cheesecake so much that he requested the cake for his birthday. Not only the cakes but the sandwiches are also really good. The owner and staffs are super nice and friendly and make me want to come back again and again!
