This review comes after my second visit to this location because I thought they deserved another attempt to make me a return customer, but that’s not the case. Service was fine, line moves quick for how long it can be. My issue is with the quality of food. I don’t understand the hype… the taste and temperature of my meals both visits was mediocre at best and even calling the food awful from this last visit, would still be paying it a compliment.
I mean, both times were simple standard orders. Chicken sandwich, fries, drink. That’s it. Both times the temperature of my food was barely above room temp. Fries were soggy. I mean, so soggy that when I got back home (I live 4 blocks away), I put them in my air fryer at 400 degrees for 5 minutes and they were still limp and soggy. It’s as though they didn’t even have the fryer turned on when they made them.
Same for the sandwich. It was crisp, but the temperature was barely warm. And would have probably been better assembled by a blind and drunk chimpanzee because hardly anything was even between the buns, I added tomato and lettuce. The tomato slices were all stacked on top of each other and half off the sandwich. The lettuce was so limp and wilted it looked like cloth and was also half off the sandwich. It’s supposed to come with pickle but apparently there’s a shortage? Because what I got barely qualified as the left over nubbin from the butt end of a pickle and that was it.
And then the drink. I mean, that’s good, I get the 1/2 unsweetened tea and 1/2 lemonade. Basically an Arnold Palmer. But (A) it shouldn’t cost $4 for a large, and (B) as another commenter said… hope you like ice. At $4, I’d expect to get more than 12 ounce of liquid. What I got was about 20 ounces of ice and barely enough fluid to wash down a soggy fry.
This was my experience both times. They’ve been open for a month now, and this isn’t their first store, so by now they should have most of the issues resolved, but when that issue is the very quality of the one thing you sell (food)? And you can’t get it right by now? I don’t know if you ever will.
Sorry, I won’t be back. The chicken sandwiches across the street at McDonalds taste better, are hotter, the fries are crispier, and the drink is less than half the price. This was my experience both times, take it...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying I normally love Chick-fil-A to the point my partner and I even had it at our wedding reception. As a signature member, I’m horribly disappointed in my most recent experience. This was my first time at this location and I didn’t realize there was no dine-in option, only a walk up window (with absolutely no parking) or the drive thru that often blocks the lane down the street because it’s always terribly busy and inefficient. I ordered breakfast on the app to pickup at 1025 (it clearly says breakfast ends at 1030) and arrived at about 1032. Firstly, I was stuck in the drive thru waiting for well over 10 minutes even though it was an odd hour and there were only 3 cars ahead of us. Then when we finally got to the front, they wouldn’t give us breakfast because it was past the time. I figured worst case scenario they would have the bag of cold food ready to give us and we could drive home and reheat it. But nope. They told us our order was straight up cancelled because it was past breakfast time. To add insult to injury it took until the end of the night to get refunded. Here’s what I learned: don’t order breakfast unless you arrive well before 1030 and have plenty of time to sit in the world’s worst drive thru… Oh and never go to this location. Next time I’ll drive the 30 minutes to Kapolei where I can actually sit down and enjoy my food. Even Ala Moana’s location is better than this mess.
As a side note, there’s no yogurt parfaits on this location’s menu, which is a disgrace. I would’ve had to do greasy hash browns if I was lucky enough to even...
Read moreI went for breakfast and my first impression is how expensive it is and how inefficient the whole process seemed. I drove up to what appeared to be a standard electric menu sign that was turned off and had a. 8.5x11 laminated menu with small print taped on it. Also, there was an employee standing there to take your order with an ipad instead of just using a speaker like most places.
It was breakfast, and this chain clearly isn't known for breakfast, but it seemed overpriced an pretty standard. After ordering and paying at the employee with an iPad, I drove forward to a door where an employee gave me my food.
Everyone was nice, speed was acceptable, and I no quarrels with the customer service. It seemed like an odd way to do things, but ok, that's how they want to do their thing.
The food was less than appealing. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese muffin combo, with hash browns and a coffee. That came to $10. The cheese was cold and not even melted on the sandwich. McDonalds and Starbucks make better muffin sandwiches for cheaper. The has browns were undercooked and soft. The coffee was pretty good, but it was a super small cup.
I also couldn't help but notice how thick and unnecessary the food wrappers were. They wrapped a breakfast sandwich in a wrapper that was 5 times thicker than any other chain out there. They also but the has browns in a fricken cookie box.
I guess you pay more for more humans and higher quality garbage that fills up our landfills? It doesn't really make...
