I've been searching far and wide for the best pho on the island, and I have to say that this is probably it! I first tried Aloha years ago when I first PCSed to the island and was living out of a Waikiki hotel. Now living closer in the area, I frequent this restaurant at least twice a month. I pretty much just always get the pho dac biet with an additional side of tendon. Large is pretty sufficient, but the xlarge portion is massive. If you get the pho tai, they give a LOT of rare sliced beef. The broth is super clear and fragrant. Another winner is their fried butter chicken wings. Wow. Wowowoeow is it delicious. It comes with a lemon wedge and salt and pepper to sprinkle on, which just makes the flavor pop. Comes with 7 wings, and is topped with tons of butter sautéed onions. Sometimes I'll get the banana tapioca dessert, which comes with little taro chunks - perfect amount of sweetness.

The owners/staff are super friendly and provide great customer service. Note that it's takeout only, no longer serving in-house. Order usually take roughly 20 minutes, but may be longer during dinner rush. I also appreciate that everything is in eco-friendly packaging. Parking is shared among all the other nearby establishments, and can get packed. Highly recommend...

I was craving pho and my friend and I wanted to try some where new. Found this spot on yelp and decided to check it out. It's this tiny little hole in the wall across Sweet Home Cafe off of King St. I never noticed that it was even in that shopping center. I think that there are maybe 10-15 seats in the restaurant. We came right before the rush and there were a lot of seats available. We ordered the deep fried shrimp spring rolls & steak salad to start. Both were amazing! The rolls were hot, so let them cool first. The wrapper was perfectly crunchy and there was the whole shrimp inside the roll. The salad had rare steak, peanuts, basil, fried onions, & fish sauce. I'd come back here just for this salad! I had the tripe & rare steak pho. The broth was very nicely balanced with all the usual Vietnamese flavors. And the pieces of tripe were nice and big, no small little pieces I had to hunt for in my bowl. The also had their own chili sauce with lemon grass in the table, this was yummy too. Service was fast and friendly. Decor is a little cafeteria looking, but the food definitely is the star in this place....

This is only for the shockingly bad customer serviced recieved while attempting to dine here. Upon walking in I felt cold and decided to sit at a table under the air conditioner away from the blowing cold air. The table we were at seats 4 people(4top). There were 3 other couples seated at 4tops. The waitress came to us and told us that (presumed) mama wants us to move to the back of the room. I told her I was cold and that I prefer to sit were I was at. She relayed the msg to mama in vietnamese an everything seemed fine until (presumed) papa comes out and tells us we need to move tables because they wanted to save the table we were at in case a larger party comes in. There were still 2 other 4top tables and 2 couples table available. There was no one waiting outside to come in. I felt so prejudiced at their reasoning that we walked out. I went back in and told the man that it was not right that they(pointing at 3 other couples) were able to sit at a 4top and he wants us to move to a couple table and left feeling so angry. Never got a chance to...

Most authentic Vietnamese food that we’ve found in Hawaii. The flavors are on point. The chicken bbq rice continues to impress. The Banh Mis are delicious (pork and lemon grass chicken). We’ve also had the spring rolls and the summer rolls. Everything has been perfect. And the cleanliness during this pandemic is what has impressed us the most. Very clean, lots of hand washing, the owners wear masks and sanitize, and payment is contactless. I’m pretty sure we’ve found our “go to” place for Vietnamese food. Highly recommend dining in car while everything’s hot and fresh. Oh, we had the amazing beef salad but were gassy all night. Probably should consume this one while fresh, not after a car ride home.

Great pho! Generous meat portions even with the medium size pho, which is their smallest of three sizes. I like their spicy sate sauce/paste (it's not TOO spicy but just right). Papaya salad is not amazing but still good. Tofu summer rolls were a surprise hit. They also make a delicious tapioca dessert with either taro or banana in it. The only thing not ideal about this place is the parking situation. They share the same parking as Sweet Home Cafe and some other restaurants so the parking is always full. However, there is usually some street parking on King Street if you're not there when it's tow away zone, which is 3:30-6:30pm.
