Buffalo Wild Wings — Restaurant in Honolulu

We called about 7-7:30 to see if we need reservations and the girl said no but there is a wait list. She stated that the wait list is 8 people on the waitlist and that we can come down see what the waitlist is going to be like when we get there. So we decided to go in person to try our luck. As we get there, a tall hauoli man greeted us and told us that the waiting list is long and that he don’t think that everyone in the waiting list will not be seated. As far as I know, all customers are to be serviced if they are on the waitlist or not before closing hours. If someone to come in say 15 minutes to closing, they have to service them no matter what. So we decided to do take out. We placed an order at 7:45 and the guy cashier stated it will be 15-20 minutes for our order. We were told to wait outside and while waiting outside, we saw more than 20 people leaving and lots of open tables now. At the same time we saw one group of four check in and I decided to follow and see what the receptionist would say. And sure enough they were not on the waitlist and no reservation and they got seated. We have been waiting for 30 minutes at this point and 3 couples walked in within that time and were seated with no reservation and not in a waitlist. There was a young boy also waiting for his food after us and the same guy cashier cane out with his food first but the young boy stated to him that he cancelled the food just as he walked out with his order cause he waited so long. So the cashier walked back in with the young boys food. By the time we got our food, it had been 51 minutes. The people that walked in way after us and got seated, got their food and drinks before us. When we got home with our food and shock only takes us 5 minutes, our food was cold and the wings was hard like rock. They drenched it in sauce to cover the fact it was very hard. We thought this one would be different and was good when they first opened But became like all the other Buffalo Wild Wings here on Oahu BAD...

Let me start out this review with the positives so that it doesn't ruin your day... The atmosphere is awesome. We went during Monday Night Football, and the place has TVs to the gills - I think 15 or more, with at least 3 that seemed like 80" or more. There were a bunch of various sports being shown, but when it came time, the main audio that fills the restaurant went to football - you know who's king in USA.

That being said, everything went downhill from there... First, we ordered drinks. Our server is a nice girl, and I'll just stop at that. We waited like 10 minutes... No drinks. Keep in mind this is Monday early afternoon for MNF time in Hawaii, and the restaurant was about 20% capacity. I've been a server before, so that's why we even waited that long. She totally forgot our drinks, which is the very first and perhaps easiest thing to not screw up. And then when we reminded her, she came back with the wrong drinks. I had ordered sweetened iced tea, and she brought me unsweetened.

Next, and the biggest reason why I gave this place two stars - the food was salty as hell. It was like the cook watched too many Salt Bae videos, but it was the GIF version that was stuck on a perpetual loop. I know some restaurants do this trick to get people to order more drinks and alcohol, but the nachos that we got was literally filled with salt. It was so bad it overpowered any semblance of nachos. The only good appetizers we got was the onion rings. Even the chicken wings was just okay. The boneless ones were dry and inferior to the regular boned ones, but that's not saying much. The sauces were pretty good, though. Overall, the chicken was dry. In a nutshell, come here for the atmosphere and maybe the experience, especially if you are an overseas tourist, but definitely not...

Worse service ever. We were wandering the streets looking for somewhere to eat, and came across this restaurant, and unfortunately went in.There was 10 of us, including 3 children and it took over an hour and half to get everyone feed. Our server was very nice and we thought she knew what she was doing, and being Monday night it wasnt busy, so why on earth did the food take so long and be so messed up. Seriously ...it took 20minutes just for our drinks to get to the table and then the stuffed up orders started arriving at the table after an hour, and one person still didnt have his meal after an hour and a half. 4 orders were wrong!!! Our server apologized several times and then after an hour, the Manager came over and half hearted said sorry but the meal will still be another 15mins and he would take 10% off HIS bill! Then to top it all off , I had asked for another beer and got that a half an hour after ordering it (it was sitting on the bar waiting to be delivered). I watched our server get a straw and stir the beer up to put a head back on it, and then she gave it to me. Grrrrr Also the restaurant was a mess with tables still not cleared after the people had left just after we arrived, and we saw at least 5 staff standing around talking. The Manager sat down at a table with his laptop to have his dinner and never bothered to even talk to to his staff to get his restaurant clean and tidy, or to look after the customers. Then the icing on the cake was we were over charged on 3 orders. My goodness how hard is it to get it right. 4 of us at the table are in the hospitality industry and were appalled at the ridiculous service and poor quality of the food. Dont waste your time and money at this joint...soooo bad it...
