Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience at this Chili’s. My family took me out for a Mother’s Day dinner, and the manager on staff, Tony, single-handedly ruined the entire experience from start to finish.
First we were greeted by a kind server who said he was ready to seat us. Tony interjected and dismissively told the gentleman, “I’ll seat them.” Then Tony told us we’ll have to wait for him to seat others first. We were understanding and didn’t mind waiting.
After we were seated, we ordered bone-in wings, but received boneless wings. We told our waitress about the mistake, and she went to check on getting the correct order.
While she was gone, Tony came to our table and asked if we had a problem. We told him the experience wasn’t going too well, and he asked us what was wrong. We mentioned the initial greeting at the door and then told him the food was served luke warm and that part of our order was wrong. He apologized, blamed the waitress and then said he would bring the correct wings. We said it was ok and that he didn’t have to bring the wings, but he insisted saying, “I’m going to do that for you.”
We waited for an extended amount of time, and finally asked our waitress if the wings were coming out. She said, “let me go check.” The waitress came back and asked, “what did he [Tony] say?” We told her what Tony said and she said, “Ok, He’ll be out to talk to you guys.”
We waited a bit longer, and Tony never came back, but he sent the pictured wings out with the waitress. The wings were served luke warm with no sauce.
We paid our bill, tipped our kind waitress and left defeated. We were just looking for a relaxing Mother’s Day dinner, instead we had to deal with an unprofessional,...
Read moreMy husband and I hand the craving for the Jalapeno Smokehouse burger on Tuesday. The first time my husband ate the burger was last week (Kahala). I had it last week and a month ago (Waikele). Friend had one too. We all commented how we loved the applewood smoked bacon that went with it. So that Tues. night, we went to eat at Chili's Kahala. We were (especially me!) was very disappointed that there was NO applewood smoked bacon-just cheap bacon. I asked the waiter and he said that it's no longer available- for a month now. I told him (Kendi) that can't be since my husband and I had JUST had it last week-there & I had it last month at the Chili's Waikele. A mgr (I'm assuming she's a manager-did not introduce herself) came to our table. She stated the bacon has not been available for 2 months and the cooks did not know how to cook it correctly. What the..? I had already let the incident go...but Then another mgr came to our table and stated that it hasn't been available for 6 months. WHAT?! He too did not introduce himself. We've been going to Chili's Kahala since it first opened. And the menu has been updated and HAS the Applewood bacon. $14 hamburger! Extemely disappointed with no applewood bacon and the LIES! There's been other problematic time, but this took the cake-with the lies. My lemons was served in a plastic cup cap cover and Kendi the waiter states that the dishes were being washed. WTF? It was not crowed at that time. And Then we were ignored. Service & food prep decreasing. Shape up Chili's Kahala! AND stop lying to...
Read moreDo NOT go here if you have any allergies. To begin my allergy is not life threatening. It's more of an inconvenience and rash. My husband and I went in and ordered the fajitas, the waitress talked us out of the chicken stating it was chewy and not very good. So I did double steak 😋 my husband did double steak. Shrimp and no veggies. It came out backwards and shrimp was on mine (mild allergy) . I immediately told the waitress it was wrong she rushed it into the kitchen and apologized. About 5 minutes later it came back out ..... I asked if the cook just picked off the shrimp and moved it to the other plate. She assured me that didn't happen. And told me of their clean practices. I can see into the kitchen and did not see a new fajitas come out. As I was eating I found shrimp in my rice. Waitress got manager. He came over advised us as to where a drug store was for benadryl. He told us just to go, not to worry about payment. We went grabbed benadryl and walked for about 30 minutes to check for reactions. All clear ! We go back to Chilli, tipped waitress $20. Sat ordered a drink. The manager came over and chastised my husband for even ordering shrimp knowing I have a reaction to it. We tried to pay our tab but he said no so we paid for our drinks. The bartender charged us for a drink I never received. Anyway, slow service, bad food handling practices, incompetent staff. There are much better...
