Glad I didn't read reviews of this place before we dined here, otherwise we might have skipped it. I'm not sure whether our experience was an anomaly, all the same we had a lovely experience at Oak St Pub! It was a warm, sunny day when we dined here and we wanted to find a place to eat where I could bring my dog so she wasn't sitting in a hot car. Oak St Pub has a big outdoor seating area with lots of shaded and sunny seating options, and lots of room to tie up a dog. We both ordered fish tacos and had a very pleasant interaction with one of the servers while we waited for our meals. The food arrived in a timely manner, and the server who brought it out to us was incredibly friendly and helpful- letting us know how the fresh lime served alongside our tacos helped to improve the sauce. Fish tacos can be really hit and miss, especially at pubs where I've often felt greatly overcharged and very underwhelmed by the food. This was not the case at Oak St Pub; the fish was warm and crispy and very flavorful. We ate all our tacos quickly and in silence- it was a great meal after a long hike.

Decent outdoor ambience but maybe the worst fish tacos I’ve ever had? Menu items are tacked up on the wall without prices, so I paid $13 for overcooked fish tacos in flour tortillas with wayyyy too much “spicy house sauce” that tasted a whole lot like Italian dressing with a kick. Was hungry so I ate them but the whole thing was overpowering. Order something else. Asked the bartender about what one of the beers was like and he said “it’s an IPA,” which is clearly stated on the wall. I gave him a blank look and he elaborated slightly but come on.

I don’t like to give bad reviews but unfortunately I have to do it here. Food was 3.5 stars, service was 0 stars. Combined a generous 2 stars. Regarding service: Everyone can have a bad day and there is no question that they were at least 1 if not 2 people short this day. But if every question you have is met with a sigh and an annoyed face. And if even in response to “Thank you so much” you get a “mhm” then I can’t give you more than 0 stars. Food was okay but not really warm. The atmosphere is cool. Being able to sit outside is always a plus.

We arrived a few minutes after they opened. I asked if they were serving food and the lady responded by saying "The fryers not turned on but it doesnt take long to warm up. So the answer is yes". Kinda rude but whatever. We were hungry and the other restaurants were packed with long waits. I ordered a cheeseburger with no onions and no tomatoes (it comes with kettle chips). My wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich(comes with chips). We both ordered a lemonade. Our total was $38! Our food came. We went outside to eat in the dirty outdoor patio. It was obvious no one has cleaned out here in awhile. My burger had 2 slices of onion and 2 slices of tomato and spinach for toppings besides the cheese. The bun was good, the burger was not. It was dry and hard not to mention it didn't come the way I ordered it. There was just a handful of chips that came with it. Wife said her chicken salad sandwich tasted just ok and she thought maybe it was store bought from a deli and not freshly made. I used the restroom and couldn't help but notice the over flowing garbage can and litter on the floor and just general dirtiness...It was obvious no one had cleaned the restroom recently. One thing that really grossed me out was this stubby little ketchup bottle I was given to use. The lid had dried stuff on it and the bottle was dirty. The paper label on the bottle was pretty worn from use but it was completely full. This means they are refilling the stubby bottles which I guess is not an issue??? But when is the last time they washed them bottles?? I will not go back. Oh, the service was overall friendly after the initial meeting and our food...

The one side is very pub like. Played dominoes while we waited for our food. Service was adequate for whatever reason there was only one person on duty and she was the cook and the bartender and the wait person. And she never seemed flustered or snarky. The dust and cobwebs underneath the piano and on the pedals was a bit disconcerting. And the food was so salty was possible to finish. My cousin had overcooked shredded pork bowl. The came with a small handful of tortilla chips. That were not freshly made and in fact when I was able to see into the kitchen they came out of a bag of some of the cheapest brands that you would get out of gas station. I ordered fish and chips. What I got was two very small albeit beautifully battered pieces of fish probably the size I would get out of a box of Gorton's. The fact that wouldn't be surprised if that's where they came from. And skinny fries I happen to love shoestring fries but they seemed to be battered or seasoned maybe the oil was just not clean and everything else was deep fried in it I don't know. And they were so oversalted I couldn't finish them. They were served with tartar sauce and enough ketchup to feed three. I had to go back to the bar and ask for malt vinegar. And pretty sure they were rationing that out. obviously since they were shoestring the concept of vinegar on your chips was lost. I really wanted to like this place and maybe The alcohol is their focus. In English and Irish pubs you get some of the best English and Irish food. This was not the case here. To charge $18 for something I literally could have gotten from my grocerers freezer feels...

Parked my car on the side of the building and was attacked verbally by a male waiter. He did not want us to park next to his car because according to him I am an idiot that would hit his car. As we are telling him we were leaving he was calling us idiots. Brown hair, red shirt. He would not give his name, just told me to go f myself. We were not aggressive, and just tried to explain that we were parked next to him for the shade for my pup. All windows down and needed lots of shade. We were happy to move but as we walked back to our car he said, "if you touch my car I am going to kick yours." That was when my friend had to start yelling at him to get away from her because he was physically and aggressively trying to get into his car door as my friend was trying to get in my car so we could leave. It was outstandingly outrageous!! A woman has to pull him away from us so we could leave. It was crazy and I will never go near this restaurant ever again!! I did try to get a manager on the phone after we left and unfortunately the same guy answered and just started swearing at me. I do not recommend anyone go to...
