We had a 2 person experience at a restaurant with a bill of $200, we were in Louisiana and had a 3 day in Hot Spring, we ordered a side of beef for $70 with no side dishes, and It was cooked long before delivered to us, it took them 40 minutes to make the medium rare beef after the first dish was served at 6pm. My husband was quite easy-going as he ate a portion of beef that was cold on the inside and warm on the outside. I wanted to talk to the waiter about the beef but he said we came to support the local restaurant and I also don't want to waste food, but it's bad when the food is cold. I felt sad for him because he deserved to get a dish that was commensurate with the $70. When I talked to the waitress about the food being cold, she didn't go to check with the chef, she immediately said "no such thing, they were brought out immediately" which means the oven was not cooking hot? Or is the definition of hotness problematic? The waiter kept asking if we were done while the mushroom plate was still about 1/3 full and we were talking. Really felt uncomfortable. I still don't quite understand it. Great oyster, fried mushrooms were quite black and bitter, kingfish sashimi was nothing outstanding, it poured soy sauce on the fish dish and it was too salty. We liked Hot Spring and would return to enjoy the great atmosphere here, but not at this restaurant. :(

The food here is phenomenal! My wife an I both ordered the Oscar style strip. She had the 12 oz and I had the 18oz (its alot of steak) medium rare, and rare. It was phenomenal but like I said, alot of steak. We also had the Duck enrolls which I highly recommend, they're unlike anything you've ever had. I also had a couple old fashioned drinks which were probably the best I've ever had with their house bourbon which did not disappoint. All in all, I highly recommend 501 prime you are in the mood for some amazing food with even better service. I will say, that it will cost you a pretty penny, but well worth it. Be sure to make a reservation beforehand.

We have visited a couple of times and every time we've gotten amazing service and excellent food! The oysters are probably my favorite appetizer on the menu and the fact that they're only $1 a piece during happy hour (as of June 10th, 2019). I highly recommend trying out the Bourbon Bar if you're in the area; not only is the food great, but the atmosphere is casual and light. We look forward to visiting again!

Man bun bartender was absolutely horrible! We came in after dinner at 501 Prime. My wife inquired about and ordered a tequila neat. I asked for a bourbon menu and proceeded to watch man bun talk to; assist and serve everyone at the bar but me. He came down to our end of the bar no less than 3 times with ZERO acknowledgement. It wasn’t until after my wife finished her drink and and was talking to the manager that he asked me about my drink order (well over 20 minutes). The manager proceeded to make excuses for his apparent friend. I paid for the one drink (no tip) and we left. As we left, man bun followed us out and told us to have a good...
