Hot Springs Central Cabaret & Nightclub — Attraction in Hot Springs

Please avoid Central Theater, Chris Rix, and Rix Realty. He is a crooked business owner. Went in to work as a bartender two weeks ago for Central Theater. Was offered to help manage and get accounting in line but he did not pay for the time. Chris Rix expected free labor with no pay and abuses his staff. Made all the bartenders sign ABC forms but then pours liquor for himself and underage guests. I’ve heard many disgusting remarks come out of his mouth to now know he’s despicable. Many times I’m around and people have called asking for payment Chris refuses. It’s not uncommon for this to happen. After working a week at Central Theater I was asked by Chris to help finish painting some apartments but when we showed up it was a professional painting job required. Again, Chris refused to pay properly. There was scraping, sanding, taping off, and priming still needing to be done before painting. Chris wanted us to paint over chips, dust, mold, water damage, and even clean up hazardous materials (covered in black mold, rat feces & urine) General laborers, painters, future renters, stay away from Chris Rix also Rix Realty. This place is an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I regret having eaten before I arrived because I was only able to have one menu item and it was heavenly, (Truffle Tater Tots). The portion was more than generous and enjoyed by all at our table.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The owner is approachable, jovial, accommodating, and just an all-around nice guy. The lovely decor is reminiscent of a Prohibition Era speakeasy.

I attended their monthly jazz-blues Jam. All of the players were top notch providing three hours of nonstop entertainment.
