Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Hot Springs

This Location on East grand is the best location out of all in Hot Springs. Which honestly, any location that the general manager Gary is over, which as far as I know. Is this location and the one over by airport or sumn other simply because he is over them he gives you the time of day, Courtesy and patience when you can't quite Grasp what you like to eat and even throws out a few suggestions. This morning I pulled up to East grand location with only $9 In my pocket, I only went out this morning to find me something to drink for work. But I've seen them standing outside ready to open upand I pulled You know, cause I love hot hot chicken lol and maybe thought there might be a good combo that comes with a large drink. He asks me very politely what pieces id like i let him know a thigh and a breast and i was really hoping to get a drink and he already heading towards the doors ready to go inside for me and get my order out with the batch cooking for opening within the next 15 minutes while i shouted a dr.pepper He says pull around to the window ill pay for your large drink......he saved me this morning and truly blessed me as i really didnt have anything at home to eat or ben e joy drinking for lunch break from my construction so here i am a grown 24 year old man tearing up writing this. And he prob wasnt even aware of the desperate situation im in today for food. Shortly after 9:00 pm on March 17th, 2023, my husband stopped in to get a bite to eat. The drive thru was very busy so we decided to go in. We live in the area, but haven’t been here in quite some time. We were greeted by a smiling, helpful employee, Stephanie. She said it was her first day, but we couldn’t tell it. She was kind, personable and patient as we ordered. I looked at the kitchen while I was ordering, surprised to see that it was clean. Oh sure there was a bit of stuff on the line, but they were busy. Unlike most fast food these days though, the floors were clean and it looked like they were really taking care to keeping their work space tidy. We got our order and sat down. I looked around the dining area and saw NO dirty tables and nothing the on the floors. There was a young man sweeping under each table, pulling out chairs, etc. making sure to get it thoroughly swept. The food was piping hot and tasty. This Popeyes is around other fast food restaurants that I have been in over the years that I cringe due to uncleanliness when I walk in. It is hard to find fast food restaurants where the employees actually smile, care about their customers AND keep a clean environment. This Popeyes really impressed us! I tried the other location on Central last summer, was not a pleasant experience. So I decided to try this location and disappointed again. I ordered the 8 piece package (chicken only) which cost $12 (averages $1.50 per piece). 2 pieces were a drumstick, 2 pieces were a wing, 3 medium sized pieces (not all breasts), and 1 large piece. That's pretty expensive for getting mostly smaller pieces. One drumstick was pretty dry, the other one was under cooked. Both wings were dry. Of the 3 medium sized pieces, only one was done right, one was under cooked, the other was pretty dry. The large piece was mostly cooked right, but parts of it were under cooked. Based on the performance of both locations in Hot Springs, I will not return to either location. I've always been a fan of Popeye's, but I'll wait until I visit Texas as they seem to understand how to cook their chicken.
