Whataburger — Restaurant in Hot Springs

I eat here very often and enjoy the food. Any other day I have no complaints but today(7/20/25) I came through at around 7:40. I ordered my food and the guy who took my order(a young white guy with a beard net, 20ish) was very nice and comforting. I ordered a patty-melt combo with root beer, triple burger with bacon combo with bacon, orange fanta, and spicy ketchup. He paid us out and told us to wait at the first window for our food. There were no other cars behind or in front of us while we waited. My window was down and I was having a conversation with my passenger until another guy (African American, 20-25) shoves his head out the window all of a sudden and yells “YOOOO”. He tells me to pull up to the second window and looks aggravated. I pull up to the window and he hands us our food and as we pull away he yells “DAMN” as if we were taking up all of their time. When we open our food there is no bacon on my burger or spicy ketchup but regular, still paid for it. I don't care for replacement. I only thought I’d share this experience of unprofessional workmanship. This place needs to get their house in order because that was nothing but disrespectful and honestly...

I love Whataburger. This location has very nice friendly workers. I have no problem with the service on that level. The girl who took my credit card was super nice and friendly. Here's the problem- The other lady who put my food in the bag: Don't EVER give people cold fires and PLEASE make sure you put Ketchup/salt in the bag when the customer asks for it. It's not that hard. When you pay $16+ for a cheeseburger/fries/drink it's mind blowing that someone would think it's OK to give cold rubbery fries to a customer and can't even put some napkins, ketchup or salt in there when it was asked for. (I was in the drive-through.) This is a management problem. Please get this fixed. It ain't rocket surgery. One part of the problem is laziness but it always falls back on management. Some employees (who don't care or are lazy) like to pre-make a large batch of fries so they don't have to keep making them and they sit around and get cold. Please stop doing this. I could have bought a nice fat steak for $16+ and took that home and been healthier for it. I'll go back again but wont keep going if this...

The food is definitely NOT what it used to be, that's for sure!! Heads-up If you're going to order fries, you'd better eat them at the restaurant. I guarantee you they'll be just about cold before you make it out of the parking lot. DEFINITELY before you make it down the road and/or home!!! Make sure you're not speeding on the way home, because if you get pulled over with those fries in the car, you're lible to catch a charge for concealing a deadly weapon. If you want decent fries, I would suggest Burger King or Wendy's.

So far, every burger I've purchased from Whataburger has been as dry as the Sahara! After 3 visits, I finally gave up on my favorite childhood restaurant.

Lastly, their prices are TOO high for the quality of food I experienced there. To date, I've only returned there whenever I'm picking up food for someone else!!

Until they up their food quality, I will never spend my money there again. I can definitely find other ways to throw...
