I would give zero stars if I could. It was terrible what I experienced at this B&J location this afternoon. I ordered and paid for an ice cream cake for a friend's birthday to be picked up on my way to the party. I arrived on time and left my dog in the car as I was not supposed to bring him into the store. It was over 100 degrees outside but I did not want to leave the car running with the dog inside. There was a line of customers getting scoops and cones of ice cream. I explained to those in the line that I couldn't leave my dog in the car for long and that all I needed was to pick up a pre-ordered cake. Everybody in the line understood and had no problem letting me go first. When I asked the girl behind the counter, she responded with a monotone, "Ma'am, I am serving the people in the line, and will get to you when it's your turn." (I am paraphrasing here but not far from the actual words.) I told her that everybody agreed to let me go first. She ignored me and continued to scoop ice cream from different tubs. I tried to contain my voice, "Can you please just grab the cake from your freezer? It shouldn't take you a minute." She repeats with the same monotone, "Ma'am, I have customers to serve. Please wait." At this point, I told her, "Please get my cake ready. I will be back in 5 minutes." I went back to the car, and turned on the A/C for my dog, risking the car and the dog being taken. When I went back into the store, she was still scooping ice cream. The whole time, because she continued to attend to the next customer, those people in the line responded by placing orders even though they agreed to let me go first. I guess they didn't want to be rude to her. I asked again those in the line, and again everybody responded, "Sure." When I turned to her again, she went "Ma'am, I will issue you a refund." I could not believe this! The problem was that, when she spoke with me, she actually stopped scooping and gave me her full attention while everyone in the line waited. With her matter-of-fact monotone, she spent more time speaking with me than would take her to fetch the cake. I couldn't go to the party without the cake. It would disappoint the kid. I apologized and pleaded with her repeatedly for letting me have the cake knowing full well that I was the one owed an apology for her lack of compassion and common sense. When I finally got the cake from her, as I was saying "thank you," she said, "Ma'am, don't ever come to my shop and make demands." It was obvious to me that this is a person who felt that she had power over me and had to exercise it. You will never see me...

Chubby Hubby: The first thing that came to my mind when I spotted this flavor was “dad bod”, but with a name like Chubby Hubby, what else should I be thinking? The Ben & Jerry’s (BJ’s) pint earns its name as it comes in at 1,400 calories if eaten in a single sitting. Each pint contains vanilla malt ice cream with peanutty fudge-covered pretzels with fudge & peanut buttery swirls. What stands out to me as being its most unique aspect is the fudge-covered pretzels. There was a fair amount of them, most had a crispy/crunchy texture, while a couple were somewhat soft and soggy. Not my favorite part of this pint, but not bad either. What won me over was the thick and abundant fudge swirls. Absolutely phenomenal! The peanut butter swirls were not as thick or numerous, but there were enough to add just the right amount of peanut buttery flavor to complement the fudge and vanilla malt. Speaking of vanilla malt, it worked fine as a mostly neutral base flavor as the fudge and peanut butter easily overpower it. This is another fantastic flavor from BJ’s that just misses my top 5 but would be in my top 10.
