Smoothie King — Restaurant in West University Place

I have been here twice in the past month. The first time I went was around 5:55 and they have a special where you can get a free kids size smoothie with purchase of a full size before 6. At this location you order at the left register and pay at the right register. Well, when I went to pay it was maybe 6:01 and the discount for the free kids drink would not apply because of the time. There was a girl there who rudely stated that it was not valid since it was after 6. This was just baffling to me as we’d ordered before 6 pm and also it as someone who has worked in food and retail I just couldn’t believe she would say that. I had to tell her, hey, we placed the order before 6, it’s taken you guys this long to get payment. She went ahead and approved the discount but was So Rude about it.

Fast forward to today, I decide to give it another shot, swing by at 5:55 again, order 2 smoothies, no specials, no coupons, pretty simple. It took almost 20 minutes to get my smoothies. To be clear, they were not busy. There were only 2 other customers there the whole time I was there, and there were 3 workers. I was just beside myself with how long it was taking. The woman in front of me even asked for a refund. It was just so horribly inefficient. The workers were nice today, just unbelievably slow. And for the record, they took my payment at least 15 mins after I ordered so I was glad I wasn’t redeeming a special today.

I wish i could give this smoothie king location a 0 rating because i was at the hospital because my child was sick and had not been able to eat so we brought him asap to the hospital today June 10 ,2025 and i told my husband if he could just drop us off and go get my son a smoothie from smothie king since my son requested that because he was hungry and my husband was like they close at 10 let me hurry so he got there at 9:56 and he went inside tried to order the smoothie inside and was told that they couldnt take his order because it was closed and my husband is the type that dont complain but i do it says they close at 10 so why couldnt they make it for him and what made me more upset he said when he passed by driving off the employee were laughing and he said it felt like they were laughing at me and to me that is so rude and unprofessional of them i sent my husband to go to kroger and get my son a naked smoothie because thats what he really wanted this experience at this location was absolutely terrible...

DO NOT ORDER THROUGH UBER EATS! Don't say I didn't warn you either. So I ordered a smoothie and 3 snacks(chocolate covered almonds, dark chocolate cashews, and yogurt pretzels). All I received was the smoothie after spending $22.34. The uber driver tried to reach me but was having trouble. Smoothie King did not attempt to call me at all! Apparently on their end they couldn't see what snacks I wanted. SO WHY NOT JUST CALL ME INSTEAD???? Then when I called them after getting my incomplete order, Joslin, couldn't even tell me why they didn't think to just call me. So they knew I ordered extra stuff, but said screw it who cares if we don't know what it is, let's just send her rhe smoothie. I tried to call the manager Jullien, but of course she didn't answer the phone and you can't leave a message. Thank God Uber refunded me what I didn't receive. I just don't understand WHY they didn't try calling me if they knew their app was messed up on their end. Do better with your...
