I'm a Black woman from Georgia, and I had the pleasure to live in Mexico for the past year and a half with my ex-boyfriend. When I moved to Houston a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted authentic Mexican food because I truly enjoyed the freshly cooked meals, whether it be from small stands alongside the road or from the natives in Villachuato.
I gave this restaurant a try because it looks like a hole-in-the-wall and kinda remind me of some delicious restaurants in Puruándiro. However, my grilled chicken was overcooked and unseasoned, the rice had no color or flavor, and the refried beans tasted like it came from a can.
Like I said, I spent the past year and a half around some great cooks in Mexico, and I just didn't get that taste I was looking for. I won't give up on them though. Me and my friend really loved the atmosphere, and the woman in the front was friendly and sweet. Their excellence customer service is so much more worthy...
Read moreWorst experience I have ever had with a food order. Called to order and first was immediately hung up on without ever speaking to anybody. Called back and somebody picked up the phone but did not answer. I kept saying "hello?" because I could hear voices in the background but nobody would answer me. Finally on the 3rd try a girl answered and tried to take my order but English was not her first language and therefore the food was not what was ordered. The total price given was $41.73 but when challenged to explain that amount the total changed to a more correct $30.92 and no explanation for why they originally said it was $41.73 was ever given. We were told that delivery would take 30 mins but even though the restaurant is less than a mile from our office it took more than an hour to arrive. Needless to say, nobody in our office will ever order from this...
Read moreThis place is my home away from home I bring my kids here and sometimes I come by myself when I have a free moment very affordable menu especially the breakfast menu there’s lunch specials and dinner specials. The food is good. It’s fresh. They take their time but they’re very fast and when I weigh it out spending $10 $11 on a meal at McDonald’s or some fast food place versus getting a good meal here, there’s no comparison … The owners are very nice. I love them so much. I feel like their family as a matter of fact, I’m on my way right now. My daughter comes here for the French toast morning noon and night. My Son loves the quesadillas and the fajitas and I personally love everything. I’ve had the Chilaquiles the fajitas nachos the whole fish enchiladas....
