A few days ago I reviewed a “fast food” restaurant that normally are bad ! And gave 5 stars ✨ …Now I’m reviewing Dimmasis and what a disappointment ! This is a “restaurant “ , the food it’s cold , the place was dark ,,,,like If they are trying to save some electricity ….Potatoes probably from the afternoon dry and cold , my favorite mustard chicken was cold . I felt like I was eating salad …. Then I went for some baklava ans completely burned .. bitter … how come a Mediterranean restaurant has such a bad baklava ? I mean I’m not a chef and mines never burn ! Someone must be checking constantly the quality of the food and to check that it’s not cold or dry … I will absolutely never come back to this location Update it to 1 star because paid $42 to eat again cold food feels from the day before , baklava thin as paper , kafta and lamb shank salty This place should have a reduced price for afternoon bc they really serve cold food from probably the morning… Why are they even asking for a tip ? When i do serve my own cold pass due food ??

Good location with a lot of alternatives. Here you can find options for different restrictions or tastes. This place offers a Mediterranean buffet, which means they have a wonderful salad variety. My always favorite is the tabulé which is a parsley, mint, onion and couscous mixture with a lot of lime and olive oil on it. The selection of sides is also nice. The classic hummus is really good, but I always pick additional options depending on my cravings. On the meaty side there is also abundance . Some days of the week you can even order a lamb shack. But my favorite protein is the mustard chicken. There are always fresh pittas bread available to complete your meal. At the end you can have coffee with a small dessert. The baklavas are nutty and full of flavor, there is always room for this small desert. I like to visit this restaurant with friends, because every body always find something to enjoy.

This was my first experience with Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet. I have eaten in Dubai, Bahrain and other Mediterranean locations, including Spain, France, Italy, just to name a few. So it is difficult to compare food "in country" to what is made here in the U.S. It was a Friday, so fresh lamb shanks were on the menu. The hummus (three different flavours), tabouli, falafel, grape leaves, and lamb shank were good. I think I had paella, but I'm not sure. Overall it was good. If you are a first timer, you simply seat yourself, get your food and sit down. No real service to speak of so really, in my opinion, no need for tipping. I'll try it again, maybe in a different location for comparison's sake. Give it a try. I took some picture of the two plates of food I had. You need to at least try it.

I normally frequent this place many times and have always loved the delicious food. However ,I never took it to go ,and I was very disappointed when I did yesterday. The containers are too small to justify the price as being the same as if you were eating in ,it's barely enough for a child to eat and there is no way to enjoy the salads or soups without a separate container for each. And I highly doubt it contains a pound of food so I don't know how I was charged $13.99 as if I had eaten there .I also noticed the portions of meat were much smaller than usual, but the price the same as always. During these times ,such skimping does not encourage buisness, and if one chooses to patronize any buisness, the utmost effort needs to be made that the customer is satisfied. Hopefully, the owners will use this critique as a path to revamp the to go, as to justify the price and ensure more of the buffet can be enjoyed then they have it now ,or lower the price in reflection of the fact that people eat more than that if we sit in ,after paying $14 I should not still be hungry.I actually paid more for less food as it was very early in the day so I was even in more bewilderment. I was a regular customer before this pandemic and I after several months had a craving for this food, I have not went to any restaurant but this one, but it was not worth the money nor my health to patronize this place. I know you cannot replicate the entire buffet for to go ,but what you have now is a rip off since everyone is not rich especially now in these bad times . My suggestion is to acquire bigger containers, and offer separate containers for things such as salad or soup and have them included in the price as I am not a pig to eat my food all mixed together. I actually did see smaller containers but the host did not offer them at all and I did not ask knowing I would be charged more . All businesses must adjust in these times to keep the customers they have or be forced to shut down.

Edit : after speaking with the manager, Ms.Lydia Ross ,I am satisfied that the to go procedure was not fully explained and she being the gracious professional that she is has offered to make it right. Anyone can make a mistake, there are few that will acknowledge it and seek resolution for the satisfaction of the customer who will feel valued . Therefore, I have raised my review back to the 5 star status they deserve.Still need bigger containers but it is what it...

Upon a friend's enthusiastic recommendation to try the acclaimed Mansaf at Dimassi's, my family and I embarked on an eagerly anticipated dining experience at their Westheimer location yesterday. Having enjoyed a satisfactory meal at their Katy Fwy branch previously, we were intrigued to explore their culinary offerings once more. However, what transpired during our visit left us feeling profoundly disappointed.

Despite the restaurant's ample space, it was disheartening to witness the lackluster turnout of patrons. The sole redeeming aspect of our visit was the courteous demeanor of the cashier. Regrettably, this was where the positives ended.

The main highlight of the evening, the Mansaf, was nowhere to be found. Inquiring about it with one of the staff members elicited an unhelpful and rude response. Even after multiple attempts to obtain a clear answer, we were left empty-handed, only to learn that what was on display was the entirety of their limited selection.

The disappointment continued as we sampled the food, which proved to be bland and unremarkable. The crispy fried chicken, in particular, was an utter letdown, as the once-crunchy texture felt more akin to stone.

Even the prospect of some ice cream couldn't salvage our experience. Witnessing other children indulging in frozen treats, our kids eagerly approached the ice cream station, only to be met with disappointment as the machine was inexplicably out of order. To compound matters, the absence of any signage or prior warning raised questions about the restaurant's communication and service standards.

Our visit to Dimassi's left us disheartened and dissatisfied on multiple fronts. The lack of the promised signature dish, coupled with tasteless fare, and unprofessional conduct from certain staff members, made it an outright bad experience. We have firmly decided not to return and, in retrospect, regret not choosing the reliable and well-tested Kasra instead. Dimassi's fell far short of our expectations, leaving us with a lasting impression of disappointment and a wasted dining...
