Your bouncer and a few staff were beyond unprofessional. As someone who has been licensed in security with the State, rather than hired by an individual establishment, I was shocked by the poor level of professionalism. Your bouncer made it clear here that he was within a position of power that I “would not be allowed again” for an increase in volume revolving around a comment I made about a concept prior to visiting the bar, bouncer even giving a general sense of combativeness. Not only that, when a staff member was informed, I was swiftly dismissed and ignored (she walked away quickly) . A complaint will be made with the state board (even though “Chris” as I heard his name is, isn’t I assume licensed with the TPSB. They wouldn’t license someone who acts that way) Never the less, attention must be brought to this as an unpredictable, intoxicated guest, usually doesn’t respond well to and “I’m in charge.” attitude (Reasoning is helpful even with drunk fellows). The authoritarian attitude and lack of responsibility will be remembered and will hopefully be noticed if it hasn’t been improved upon by the time staff look for a more reputable career in bartending and bouncing besides a local bar on the...
Read moreI had just gotten there and ordered an old fashioned. The service was slow so by the time I got halfway finished with my first drink the girl finally came around so I ordered another one anticipating it would take awhile. I was taking the last sips of the first drink when the second drink came. Some waiter took the second drink from me saying I can’t have two even though I was just sitting at a table with friends. I went to close out and they tried to charge me for two drinks and I said no. They tried to get me to speak with the manager, but he never showed so I left. This little guy tried to chase me out of the place saying I was skipping my bill (even though I opened a tab you idiot). No honey. I’m just not paying for a drink I didn’t drink. Way better bars in the heights and if this little insecure waiter wants to chase me even though his manager told him not to that’s fine. Whatever makes you...
Read more3/5 Have been there one time. As a frequent dive bar patron, I would not describe this as a dive bar. It reminds me of a tv sitcom set for a “dive bar”. It likes the idea of dive bars and is covered in tin tacks for drinks they don’t even sell at the bar. Kinda strange.
Bartenders were nice to me. Some of the drinks were good. Some had short pours (particularly the espresso martini… never had someone short me on the cheapest ingredient in a drink lol). Waitresses were inattentive and frequently tried to take our drinks before we were finished. Like halfway finished. I used to work in industry so the first time I chalked it up to an honest mistake but then it happened 3 more times to drinks served without ice so you can clearly see the liquid line.
I will try it again soon to see if things have improved or if it was just an off day. I hope it gets better since the location and...
