Katz’s Deli — Restaurant in Houston

The Katz’s kitchen DNA is there, and I see faces in Management that got promoted from within, (& we are talking ‘best of the best’) and the newer staff is well trained. The new location has all the ingredients. I’m going about twice a week and very pleased with how the team is gelling. When the rhythm gets established they’ll be a formidable Happy-Fed-People Machine. Thanks, Barry and mgt, for toning down the scented hand soap. Mahogany Teakwood yields to Grapefruit Pomegranate, which is way more compatible with breakfast and second breakfast! Who here has really made the morning enjoyable? We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. There were two of us waiting ahead of others, yet we were asked to wait while other groups who arrived after us were seated right away. It was obvious and uncomfortable — we couldn’t help but feel that the treatment was discriminatory.

We came hoping to enjoy good food and a welcoming atmosphere, but instead left feeling disrespected and hurt. No one deserves to be treated differently because of who they are.

I bought the blackened chicken Acapulco and it’s disappointing $24 dollars for one small chicken breast fillet barely pico de gallo and 3 Shrimps and a small side .. this is highway stealing… if yall want good food and value for your money stay away from this place there’s plenty of really good food options in the same shopping center where this place is located .. in fact better go to Pappadeaux seafood for the same money you get a better plate...
