We came here for a friend’s going away celebration this past Monday with a party of eight. When we sat down, we were greeted by our server after a few minutes. Cool. The server took our drink order and came back after about 10 minutes. No big deal. Well, that should’ve been the first sign. We didn’t see our server again for about 20 minutes after we got our drinks. Our friends weren’t able to place their appetizers in because he never came back in between, so we called over a different waiter (we really wish she had been our waiter), who helped us order them. Throughout the night, our glasses stayed empty. Keep in mind it was busy, but not full enough for our waiter to pay attention to other tables. It’s probably because we were a group of young adults, though we all work in restaurants as well. That’s why I felt the need to comment. We didn’t say anything to not disrupt the mood, but it was absurd when we left. We all left unhappy and quite frankly, confused. At one point, one of our friends chimed in to ask for something. The server didn’t let him finish, cut him off with a “sure” and a sharp attitude, then walked away before we could get his attention again. And in the end, when it was time to pay, the waitress who we had called over previously helped us pay our bills, not our server! And in the midst of a friend redeeming his birthday reward, his total was left at $4 gratuity? He didn’t have the option to decline, and we all still tipped since as I said, we work in restaurants. But overall, this really was a disappointment, especially for my friend who planned the gathering for HER OWN CELEBRATION. The only save was the waitress, whose name we didn’t catch. And even then, it doesn’t make up for our experience. We spent half the time we were there trying to wave our server down since we couldn’t find him! We really wanted to speak with a manager, but also figured it wasn’t worth it. The saddest thing is we had people join us later on and when they asked about the waiter since they couldn’t find him, we said “he’s been like this the whole time.” And our mutual understanding was, “He...
Read moreI come to this location at least 2x a month, always had great service, yummy food, and great ambiance. This time around was extremely disappointing. I came around 8-8:30pm on Thursday, 12/26/2024 with 4 people total. I completely understand it is the day after Christmas, there were a good amount of people there. I've worked in service myself. I am usually pretty patient. When we first came in, it took a while to have a server come and attend us. After we placed an order for drinks (soda), we had to wait 10 minutes for someone else to bring them. Our server gave us the impression that we were bothering her. We had ordered appetizers, but then our silverware got taken away. That was no problem, I just asked for some forks. I waited about 15 minutes and then I stopped someone else to ask for forks. By the time they came, food was already cold. I had received some coupons for free wings, which ended up being expired. I did not know they had an expiration since someone had given them to me at a Rockets Game a few days prior. Manager came and said they cannot honor this coupon, they can give a free dessert. It was honestly disappointing because I had 4 coupons, which totaled to what would have been 20 FREE wings. That does not seem equal in my opinion. Our drinks did not get refilled, we didn't get checked up on, and we were there for 2 hours. We did not order anything crazy. I am paying $100+ and I could not believe the service this time around. Then, when our server finally came to ask what dessert we wanted, we ordered brownies. At this point, I am ready to get the check and go. What was supposed to be a quick dinner kept dragging on and on with miss after miss. Imagine my face when oreos came out, I was thinking to myself, another mistake. This was an extremely...
Read moreI’ve been to the Memorial City Pluckers location many times, dining in and getting food to go. The service had always been subpar, but my last experience at the beginning of July really took the cake.
I placed an order online and called the store immediately to modify my wings (what sense does it make to have a branding of ‘anything can be tossed’ if you can’t actually make those selections online?) and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. She placed me on hold and never picked back up. I stayed on the line and called the restaurant from another phone and she answered again, I stated that I was still on hold and wanted to speak to a manager and she proceeded to hang up in my face. I called again and spoke with a different woman who got a manager, and the manager couldn’t care less. I was on hold my entire drive to the restaurant. I recognized his voice from a prior phone conversation for a similar issue, but he offered no apology for why I was on hold for over 15 minutes.
I reached out to Pluckers via Instagram and was told to email their customer service team. I did so, and the GM, Scott Turner, reached out via email wanting to connect and claimed he had been trying to reach me by phone. He hadn’t. I never got a missed call or voicemail from him. I emailed back but never got a response. I followed up a week later, and still, nothing. During this time, the Katy location was having their grand opening and I met the VP, Jason, who was extremely nice. He asked how I was liking the new restaurant and I told him I loved him and it was 100000x better than the Memorial location. He apologized for the lack of service and I told him I was waiting to hear back from Scott. It’s been a month, and Scott has not...
