Salata — Restaurant in Houston

So when we get Salata it is either at this location or the one in Cypress at 1960/290. I have noticed that both of them never add the bacon to the cobb salad when it is ordered to go. So everytime I pickup the order I check and have them add the bacon, every time. Tonite picked up 2 salads from Eldridge location, the regular size cobb for me and a build your own small for my wife. When I arrived they had finished building mine and were working on my wifes. I looked and sure enough no bacon, not only that no egg and no blue cheese. When they bought my wifes salad it was pressing on the top of the small container, mine had a good 1" space betwen the salad and the top of the container. So yeah probably my last time doing Salata. They are not consistent and I almost feel that the leaving off of the more expensive ingredients on to go orders is some type of strategy. Like who is going to bring their salad back if you forgot the bacon. But that aside, just the general lack of consistency is infuriating and will pretty much prevent me from ordering...

This is my second bad experience at this location. This time I ordered online and my salad arrived with no dressing. I couldn’t leave work to pick it up and I was told they cannot refund me. So basically I just wasted $30. My first bad experience was when I came to order a salad for my boss and was reading from a list. The worker was very impatient with me and ended up putting beats in the salad instead of beans (misunderstanding) but then refused to remake it. Instead she grabbed the beats out with her hands and added the beans. I was so in shock I didn’t even know what to say and I didn’t want to inconvenience the other customers so I ended up handing my boss a salad that probably tasted like beats :( I probably won’t order from this...

So I ate here yesterday. The people were nice and atmosphere was inviting .

I got my food and took it home and was fine until about half way into the meal. Suddenly had sever stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting.

Now I make salads everyday at home and never had a problem but I was lazy and wanted to try this place .

I suspect the lettuce wasn’t washed properly because I was so sick I had to go to the urgent care for them to tell me I had food poisoning. I’m still sick today.

Also concerning is the proteins, they had had steak and shrimp right next to each other and I’m allergic to shrimp so I was scared to get the steak.

Not saying your experience will be like mine but this was my experience . Probably won’t go back...
