Lumen — Restaurant in Houston

This place is openly, extremely prejudice. Last night around 10:30 my girlfriend and I came here for the first time. At the door, the bouncer asked us if we were there for a party or had bottle service. We weren't, so he had us stand behind the rope as if there was some wait to get in, and told us there was a cover. We said ok then he yelled out to the dude taking the money, how much is the cover, dude looked at us and said $10 each. We paid, went in, only to find this place was really empty with the exception of 2 people ordering bottle service, that we’re drinking by themselves. My gf (a sexy stud) orders her regular- Gentlemen’s Jack with coke from the first stuck up bartender, see pictures. The girl tells her we only have 1 bottle of that and she’s not going to open it unless it’s bottle service. How entitled are you when you think you can talk to people like this? I turned around and left on the trash 🗑. On my out, I asked to speak with the manager, I explained what happened, he went inside to resolve the issue and invited us back in with the 1st round on the house. So we order from a second bartender, man bun. He tells us “as long as I’ve worked here, we’ve never carried that” so I tell him, well then go tell your manager that bc he doesn’t know that. And he didn’t, and asked us what else we wanted, I proceeded to tell him that his stuck up bartender told us they did have it, then in the middle of me explaining myself, a third bartender, long blonde hair with the cheapest LV tote 👜 purse, walking all behind the bar wearing that bag out, cuts me off and tells me what the stuck up bartender said. Like she was there or something?! I told her real quick——can I finish?! So she shut up, rolled her eyes, and walked away. As I finish talking to man bun, someone brings out 2/3 empty bottle of Gentlemen’s Jack and man bun makes our drinks. At this point I’m upset beyond words and tell my gf they just don’t want us here, that’s why they won’t take our money and serve us. We didn’t touch the drinks and walked out. I’ll never return and will see to it that this place and its terrible employees are held responsible for their actions.

In conclusion, forget this place. If you don’t look like the pictures they have posted on their website or social media, then they don’t want you or your money here. I hope God forgives the ignorant, self entitled people who work here after they change, or closes down this establishment and sends them all where they belong, back home. I will never return and I ask that everyone whom supports LGBT rights, to boycott this place as well. If you support minority groups, don’t come here, they don’t...

Save your time, save your money. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My sister booked a section here over the weekend. She booked with a guy named Mikos (and yes, I’m dropping names because I believe in speaking up so no one else will be taken advantage of or mistreated) who supposedly booked her section. When we arrived to the club, she was not on the list. Staff members scattered and had no response as to what was going on. Questions were asked, staff members walked away and never returned...We waited outside of the club for 30 minutes to only be led to a small couch in the way back of the club that only fit 3 people. Mind you, our party consisted of 15 people. Therefore, everyone who could not fit in the section stood wherever they could find a place to stand elsewhere. On top of that, while booking the section Mikos assured my sister that even if she bought 1 bottle and not 2, he would place her in a 2 bottle section since our party was large and just in case we decided to buy another bottle. However, at the club, he blamed my sister for not buying a 2 bottle section and stated that was the reason we were placed in such a small section. However, we have now been informed that the section actually should have consisted of 2 couches—meaning that the people sitting next to us should not have been. Also meaning that this club was over booked and cares more about getting your money than actually providing stellar customer service. All staff members that we encountered were just rude and were absolutely a sketchy representation of the disorganization and chaos that we were presented with. As if I haven’t already said enough, there’s more. While standing around in the club, no waitress or staff ever approached our group to offer bottle service or anything of that nature (it’s already after 1am at this time) and even if we decided to except the bs there is no point when the club closes in less than 1 hour. Although we were upset with the “section” even, if we were to sit back and accept it, no one ever came to provide us with customer service. SO WE LEFT! Sections are not cheap and customer service is everything. No matter how many bottles you decide to purchase....Don’t bother posting a review on Facebook, they will only delete it and block you. So save your time and your hard earned money and go somewhere you feel appreciated. Business is business...club industry or not. Oh, and no reply is needed to rectify the situation....
