I recently visited this restaurant with a couple of friends on a Wednesday night, hoping to enjoy a pleasant meal and good company. However, the overall experience left much to be desired. Here's a rundown of what happened:
Understaffed and Unprepared: Upon arrival at around 10:30 pm, we noticed only one guy handling both the cash register and meal preparation. This immediately set the tone for what was to come.
Combo Option Chaos: Two of us ordered burgers and wanted to add a combo (fries and drink) as advertised on the menu. Unfortunately, the cashier claimed to be new and couldn't find the combo option on the cash register, resulting in separate charges for the fries and drink. We reluctantly agreed, considering the new employee's inexperience.
"Grilled Chicken is the new Zinger?": One of my friends ordered the zinger burger, but what arrived was a grilled chicken patty instead of the crispy zinger. Despite pointing out the mistake, the staff seemed adamant that this is how they made their Zinger, in accordance with the owner's directives.
Cheeseless Cheeseburger (photos attached): I ordered the double cheeseburger, but to my dismay, it had no cheese! Again, the cashier insisted that that's how they make cheeseburgers, ignoring the menu display screen clearly showing a cheese-topped burger. It was baffling and frustrating (the name of the burger has the word cheese in it!).
Owner MIA: When I requested to speak to the owner or a manager about the ongoing issues, the cashier claimed to have no contact information for the owner. This lack of accountability added to the already disappointing experience.
Final Thoughts: The Chicken Wings we ordered on the side were perhaps the only positive of the night. While I don't typically write reviews, this experience compelled me to share my thoughts. The restaurant's lack of proper management, inexperienced staff, and inability to fulfill basic orders make it hard for me to recommend or...
Read moreI tried to get lunch from this place today, but was appalled by the disgusting hygiene so I cancelled my order and walked out.
At around 11:45am today I walked into this place to try and order food. I immediately noticed that there was only 1 guy in there that was sweeping the floors with a dirty broom and his clothes were disgustingly dirty. I figured he was just the help and someone else would help me behind the counter. I was wrong. He puts his dirty broom down, doesn’t wash or sanitize his hands and comes over to make my meal. He does put on gloves, but he’s rubbing his filthy hands (with overgrown and yellow thumbnail I might add) all over the outside of the gloves, defeating the whole purpose of wearing them. I’m kind of in shock and order my meal anyway when he then rubs the already dirty gloves all over his even dirtier shirt! I told him to cancel my order and walked out, sick to my stomach.
After I left I looked at the recent reviews and can’t believe this pace is still in business. The owner obviously doesn’t care enough to manage the place properly or hire professional staff. It’s only a matter of time before he’s out of business or...
Read moreDuring a late night ride I came across this place. It was nearly midnight, so finding out they closed at 2AM was surely great for us. I grew up eating gyros in my hometown so once we was giving a sample of the lamb me to try I instantly felt like I was back home. I decided of the Lamb Over Rice (11.45$) as my husband got the 1/4 Burger& fries (8.99$) which was freashly made to perfection. Diamond and Prince both made our experience top tier, they were extremely a pleasure. We got two servings of cake for 4.95$ a slice, one being Baklava which was my least favorite, but the carrot cake surely made up for the disappointment. We will for sure be repeat customers when on this side of town! It's always great to support the small black owned businesses whenever possible especially when the service and products...
