Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Houston

On Sunday at noon on 9/21, my friends and I decided to come here and get donuts. We pulled up through the drive-thru, and upon realizing our order was more complicated than we thought, we told whoever was on the intercom that we were going to come inside to order instead. As we entered the front doors, we saw a group of boy employees huddled behind the cashier, seemingly waiting for us to come in, and then we heard one of them say, “Is she chopped?” which, if you don’t know, means “Is she ugly?” One of them proceeded to say yes and they continued to giggle and laugh as we ordered. This made my friends and I extremely uncomfortable and it was honestly disgusting behavior. I don't think they realized we heard them, but regardless that is no way to treat someone, let alone a PAYING customer. We no longer feel comfortable coming here, which is truly a shame because we have always loved and supported Shipleys....

Some of these reviews are pretty hilarious. Y'all are wild out here giving negative reviews for an establishment that just opened. 🤣 Also, you're not spending hundreds of dollars so please get over yourself. Service is going to be slow as this is the only Shipley's in this neighborhood. If you don like it drive further. Weirdos.

I pulled into the drive thru at 8 am on Friday. There were three cars ahead of me. The cars were moving fast and by the time I ordered and picked up my donuts, it took about 5 minutes.

Keeping it to Shipley's standard, the donuts were hot and fresh. I loved their glazed donuts. The guy taking my order was super efficient and audible on the speaker. The lady who ran my card was very pleasant.
