Let me start by saying — I am in LOVE with this place. Winfield’s Chocolate Bar is truly a hidden treasure that deserves way more attention than it gets. I walked in expecting a quick look around, and I walked out completely enchanted. From the warm welcome to the charming decor, this place is pure magic — the kind that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something truly special.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed something surprising: there was no one else in there. And honestly, I was confused — because this is exactly the kind of place that should have a line out the door. It’s absolutely beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for relaxing, chatting with friends, or just soaking in the sweet atmosphere. The parking was easy and accessible too, which is always a plus!

Now let’s talk about what really set this place apart: the customer service. The ladies working that day were phenomenal — so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I immediately felt like a valued guest, not just another customer. They offered samples (yes, samples!), gave amazing recommendations, and truly made me feel like I belonged there. Their kindness was genuine, and it elevated the entire experience. That kind of service is rare, and I’ll never forget it.

Absolutely Unprofessional Experience at Winfield’s Chocolate Bar

I’m honestly still in disbelief over the experience I had at your establishment this past weekend. I’ve been here a few times before and always had great service, but this time was a complete trainwreck all thanks to one wildly unprofessional employee.

First off, this girl (long balayage hair, if that helps identify her) was completely out of uniform. She looked more like she had just rolled out of bed than working behind the counter. While customers were waiting to be served, she was standing off to the side, on her iPad, and eating ice cream straight from a cup like she was on her lunch break at home. Zero urgency. Zero awareness. Just living her best life, I guess. Too bad the rest of us were left standing around the ice cream awkwardly like we were invisible.

When she finally decided to get up and help, she acted like we were an inconvenience. I asked for a single scoop and she gave me the sassiest eye roll like I had just asked her to hand-churn the cream herself. No smile, no “how can I help you,” nothing. Just bad attitude all around. She tossed my scoop in the cup with absolutely no care, and I’m pretty sure she shorted me. The whole interaction was so uncomfortable that I honestly just wanted to get out of there.

Winfield’s — if you care at all about your customers or your brand image, please address this. Having an employee act like an entitled influencer while on the clock is not the vibe. I came in for a sweet treat, not to be served attitude with a side of melted ice...

After my dinner party at a nearby restaurant, I was really craving a warm cookie with ice cream. My cousin found this spot, and we decided to check it out—even though it was about 50 minutes before closing and the place looked empty. At first, we thought it might be closed, but luckily it was open!

Jovanni and Katelynn gave us the best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. They were welcoming, patient, and never made us feel rushed. They even let us sample ice cream flavors and took the time to wish me a happy birthday. When I told Jovanni I was craving a warm cookie with ice cream, he said, “I got you”—and he truly delivered. It was so good—exactly what I was looking for!

To top it off, he added some free chocolate as a birthday treat, which made me feel extra special. We sat and enjoyed our dessert, made a few small requests, and they were happy to accommodate us without hesitation.
