Yummy Pho & Thai Bistro — Restaurant in Houston

So freaking glad I’ve tried this place before it gets super popular because it’s most definitely our new go to pho spot. Our original was one that closed down years ago and then Thien A sandwiches but now Yummy Pho and Bo Ne heights is our number 1.

The pho has been the most immaculate pho we’ve ever had. It was extremely flavorful, tasty, stuffed to the brim with noodles and protein and was not extremely greasy (like some other places we’ve been to). I didn’t feel gross after eating the whole large sized bowl like we have at some other restaurants.

The sriracha with the lime and extra veggies hit the spot, and just the overall flavors within the broth… I hope they never change the recipe.

It was a cute little tucked away restaurant with a seafood and oyster place right next to it. The vibes late at night were perfect. They had this soothing r&b music playing and after a long day at the Park in the cooler weather, it checked everything off our list.

Their BBQ pork spring rolls were bomb and they legit had the best peanut sauce I’ve ever had. I could’ve downed that mess by itself and it was a bit spicy which was new to me!

We had lunch here for a party of five. Seating was quick. We had pretty high expectations based on other reviews.

Unfortunately, these were not met.

The water tasted off - almost soapy. They gave us exactly five small paper napkins. The server never refilled water. Someone else came by at the end of the meal. There was no cilantro with the pho. The bean spouts, while steamed, were not as plenty as expected for 3 pho dishes. The pho broth was too salty and had too much cinnamon for my taste.

While I appreciate the 12.5% discount for the opening special, I did not appreciate being presented with a 30% gratuity already on the check.

Yummy Pho & BoNe (Heights location) is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was fast and friendly, making us feel welcome right away. The pho broth is incredibly flavorful—rich, aromatic, and clearly made with care.

What really impressed me, though, is that this location has a full bar with house-made signature cocktails! It’s not something you see at every pho spot, and they do it right. On top of that, they have $7 bar bites specials from 3 PM - 7 PM every day, which is a fantastic deal.
