Bad food, awful service.
Usually decent. But two bad experiences.
To attempt to leave an unbiased review, this is a late night go-to food place since our McD is nolonger 24/7. I myself have went here ALL hours of the day, and having two bad experiences in many years, I will be returning, however last night should be made known to all future go-ers.
Went as a party of 8, at 9:15pm. It was a busy night, about 1/4 to 1/3 of the tables were filled. We waited a good 5-10 minutes to have our drink order taken by their dish busser, another 5-10 minutes for our order to be taken. All seemed well, but we hadnt gotten our drinks yet. I used the restroom, and three of us stepped outside to smoke.
When we reentered (10-15 minutes later) we saw the Manager seeming unbusy in the front. Which she should have been in the kitchen(IMO). Our drinks barely made it to the table before we returned because noone had drank from them yet.
Some salads arrived. So far so good... asked for extra ranch.
After waiting a good 15-20 minutes, 3 dishes arrived. (Remember we had 8 people) another 5 minutes later 4 more dishes arrived. We were asked if we needed anything else. There was a dish that hadnt been brought yet. (1/2 entree of Zesty Nachos.) Along with a shake that was ordered to go with a philly melt, an order of dinner rolls/bread, and cheesy fries.
We reminded our server of the ranch, nachos, fries, bread, and a few drink refills. We assumed the milkshade was still being made since they said it would be a little while (at this point a good 15-20 minutes ago) being an avid shade person, I like to watch them make them, amd I know it doesnt take more than 5 minutes.
The ranch, refills, and nachos came out. The nachos were asked to have no Pico. (Family grandmother had Gast. bipass and has a sensitive stomach with some foods) the server brought it back to the kitchen. When it came back it had nothing but white cheese on it. No meat, cream cheese, nothing.
We still had no shake, fries, or bread. We reminded her of the shake, and as for the nachos we asked for the other ingredients to be put in cups. We soon got a milkshake, and a side of pico. (No meat, salsa, cheese,...)
Being irritated our grandmother didnt eat the nachos. They looked awful. The kitchen staff had obviously wiped off the unwanted ingredients and forgotten some and brought it back.
The server said that was the portioning. Excuse me, we werent worried about portions, we simply wanted what we ordered. We never got our fries, or bread. Our server avoided our table for about 20 minutes while the shake was being finished, and brought a bill over 100$. She said her manager told her to say that about the nachos, and that if we even wanted the nachos off the bill we would have to talk to the manager.
As we were walking up, the manager was taking the nachos off the new bill, and we divided the order up. No coupons were offered, no meal replacement, nothing. Just multiple "have a good nights".
I will be calling their corporate, and explaining it to them. There was a somewhat similar issue years back with my buddy in the morning during breakfast rush.
All in all, if you have options, steer clear. If you want dennys, take the situation to the manager before the waiter....
Read moreI don’t write reviews, but now that I fear I may be on my deathbed, I feel it is appropriate to spell out mine and my partner’s final hours. Girlfriend and I came here for the meme of the classic Denny’s experience; whatever that may be. In the span of time between exiting the vehicle and returning to it, we aged 30 years. Now, we both recognize that your average Denny’s establishment is far off the path from earning a Michelin Star, so our expectations were far from grandiose. Standard musky interior with a slight sticky feel from generations of errant spills of various sugar based (or otherwise) fluids, the atmosphere of a Denny’s is much like an AI generated Renaissance painting. Every flavor of human, every walk of life, never knowing if someone will assault the staff first or if the staff will preemptively strike. My lovely girlfriend and I seem to always get ourselves into some form of gastric distress, but God as my witness, this one was so severe we vowed on the blood of our ancestors that we may never pay patronage to another corporate kitchen ever again. Folks, we can’t move. We didn’t even finish more than half of each of our meals, and our blood feels like rubber cement. If you startled either of us, at the ripe ages of 23 and 21, we would go into cardiac arrest and die. Quite easily. I’m not sure what sort of 3D printer/microwave/necromancy table they pulled our grub off of, but let me be frank. I may as well have wiped my arse with $35, thrown it off of a bridge, then drank a quart of engine oil and spat some of it into her mouth.
Anyways, Dennys is suitable for human consumption and our waitress/faithful line cook companion were wonderful to correspond with on this rather unfortunate encounter....
Read moreWent there for dinner / bite to eat on our way home from airport. (9:20pm). There were 3 tables already seated when we walked in. Serveral dirty tables scattered around the place. Waited at door and eventually asked if we should seat ourselves, which we had to. There was no urgency AT ALL throughout our meal for menus...coffee....eventually silverware.....oh yeah, we needed cream too (sorry for that inconvenience ). I asked about soup and he had to check if it was still available since it ended at 10 pm. Its now 9:45. Our order was eventually put in by what seemed like a stoned young man who was more busy counting his tips...making jokes through the window with kitchen staff....and chatting with other waitress on staff than to refill our coffee, bus all tables in the place ( we are the only ones in there by now). When dinner/app's came I had to ask for the soup I should of got before dinner...I asked for boxes right away...a shake...and a togo cup for my coffee. I watched my shake blend for 5 mins While he chatted with new staff coming in to work . we asked for bill and. It was at that point he saw the plastic empty shake cup sitting by blended that he remembered my shake. Last but not least, we were told we had to wait for shift change before we could pay...new girl had to count register . He'll no, I dug at bottom of purse for exact change and left. I should of stiffed him....but I didn't. Hopefully if he reads this review he will be trained properly by someone. I would NOT go back to that...
