First Visit—based on reviews had high expectations! Sad to say—a great disappointment. First—the bar is very small—seats about 8 cramped against one another—opted for a table. Dining Room is spacious and a good vibe—that’s about the best thing. My Server was kind and full of smiles. Did the best to try and rec items. Today was their Taco Tuesday specials👎I chose unwisely—2 Crispy Beef Tacos (thought they were ground beef, but they were filled with very old, dried up, even crispy edges of shredded beef—chewy and almost inedible) and stale Taco Shells. I ordered a side of guacamole—they said it was the size of the salsas but you can see the photo—2 tiny scoops and old tasting—sent it back—not worth $6! Not even worth $2! Decided to try the Jack Cheese Quesadilla—it was good, yet very thin and very sparse (look at the plate) for $12! Another very negative thing was one of the employees was laying across the bathroom sinks when I went to the restroom talking on her cell phone loudly with it on video and it sounded like she was talking with a male! Very unprofessional and uncomfortable! I couldn’t get to the sink to wash my hands! The soap is like nothing—no lather—just disappears when you rub your hands together. 😯 This same employee was the one clearing dishes and would stand and watch you and as soon as you barely put your fork down was at your table asking to take your plates! I appreciate having plates cleared as many seemed to have stopped doing this since Covid! But to have someone standing by my table, like a hawk, waiting to swoop in and grab my plate the second I put my fork down was so off putting that I literally told her to leave me alone the last time she tried to take my plate! Lunch Food was good. But for 2 soft tacos (were real small too and they weren't very warm),beans, and rice it's not worth 22.84 and my husband got taco and enchilada for 22.88. Rip off!!!! And I just checked on the menu and they over charged us on both our meals by 5.88 cents and 4.84 cents which I will be going back and getting my money back. And the music was real loud so if you want to have a conversation, you can barely hear the other person. And the waiters has such a grumpy attitude w no smile and they grunt a lot. Rude employees for sure. They need to have more personality and friendlier with a smile. We won't be coming back for sure. Not worth the money or the crappy service. Don't waste your time or money here. If you go here, watch your prices and make sure they charge you the correct amounts!!! Rodrigo's and Don Jose is better food and much cheaper and more for your money. Chairs are very uncomfortable. Not somewhere where you want to visit or sit down for long. And I went back and they wouldn't refund me my money. And I even asked to speak to the manager and they wouldn't bring him/her out. And they showed me a menu that was different. The staff were friendly and we were quickly seated. Plenty of parking as well as a bar inside. The restaurant was clean and had air conditioning. The chips and salsa were good and the chips weren't too salty. Hubby ordered the crispy taco and enchilada plate and substituted salad for rice and beans. He was a little disappointed as he wanted beans and lettuce but they would not do that. He did say the salad was good and not overly dressed with the dressing. He said his food was good but pricey at $20 for his plate. I really wanted to get a tamale and crispy taco but the beef and the chicken both contained onions in the meat and I cannot eat onions. The pork didn't have onions, but it doesn't come in a crispy shell only a small soft street taco. Since I couldn't eat anything in the entree selections due to onions, I chose the appetizer platter. I did discuss no onions with the server and that's why I chose it. The platter was $28, also pricey, for 1 taquito, 1 flauta, 1 quesadilla, wings, and nachos. I asked for the toppings on the side. It came out and the guacamole was on top and so was a bunch of tomatoes and onions. I tried to pick them all out, but I finally gave up as they were all throughout and they make me sick. I spoke with a different server and they did take it back and didn't charge me. I would probably have rated them higher but I wasn't able to eat anything but the chips.
