DoubleDave's Pizzaworks — Restaurant in Huntsville

Visit 2: Decided to give them another try as they are locally owned I believe. Same customer service. Chose curbside on a pickup order. Entered my vehicle make, model and color in 'prep notes' like asked. Arrived 25 min after "order being prepared" email. Which is when it should have been ready. And parked right up front. Preceded to wait about 15 minutes before calling. And low and behold my pizza is ready. Also, the employee looked at my ticket when they handed me the pizza. So they saw the curbside item in my cart. As choosing curbside is it's own 'order item' added to the cart and is thus likely on the ticket. They just chose not to address it with me funnily enough.

If curbside is an option why am I having to call in to get my pizza. How long was it sitting there? Again, this is a pickup order. Doesn't take that long to make even for my "well done" order. And the place wasn't slammed. Almost empty inside. And only 2 people picked up pizzas while I waited and before I called. No real excuses here.

Why am I paying more and tipping. Pizza is ok for the price. But service definitely leaves something to be desired.

Visit 1 : If you want your pizza to be cooked slow and not on time. This is the spot for you.

Ordered online and arrived 15 minutes after receiving the 'order in preparation' email(for which there is no estimated ready time; so you are left to guess). Told lady at register the name on my order. She asked if I had already paid. Stated yes.

Then I wait 30 minutes. The order should've been ready when I arrived but wasn't. I wait 30 minutes and no peep of an update from them. Then when I state I am leaving and doing a charge back. Well what do you know. It is boxed and ready.

I took the food. But am doing a chargeback anyways as I believe my food to have been sitting. Even though I was sitting there waiting on it.

Terrible service. Worse than my last pizza hut experience across Hwy 30 from them. Which is why I paid more to come here. Not worth it at all though.

Edit for addition: Gave management the benefit of the doubt in hopes they would respond. It has been a month and they have not. Dispute filed. Worse customer service than...

3/25 Love there pizza rolls!!!!! Fresh, soft and tasty!!!!!

7/2024 They have a buffet!!!! Food was fresh and really good. If they didn't have what u want you can tell them what u want and they make it. For Huntsville they're a 5 out of 5. Will say a bit pricy but definitely worth it!!!!

Before 2022 Finally had a chance 2 try again, very disappointed. The personal cheesesteaks crust was different. The look was almost burnt, the flavor was dry. The steak one had to much seasoning on the crust and was too salty to eat. The chicken one the crust was dry and not good at all. Won't be back.

Went again and Pepp. Rolls are still great!!!!! The phili cheesesteak and chicken cheesesteak Stromboli are amazing and honestly all I eat on the buffet!!!!

I come to Huntsville, TX once a year to work with a local business for a week. I have ordered from this place several times and they delivered at work. I tried to order and have it delivered to my hotel just a few blocks up the street from them. My order was about .64 cents shy of the required amount they will deliver for. I'm only one person and I didn't want to order too much that would just get tossed out. I offered to add an extra nice tip but they said no. So I cancelled my order and will not order from there ever again. They have good food but not very good service. I am a senior and I travel a lot.
