IN 2 DAYS IT WILL BE A MONTH SINCE A CATERING MEETING AND WE STILL HAVE NOT HEARD BACK!! Is it bad costumer service, or? The groom had a meeting with one of their employees about catering the wedding and was told he will hear back about a quote of how much everything that was discussed during the meeting , from menu to services, would cost the following week. He never heard back. He E-mailed several times and after not hearing back from them he asked me to help. Hi, Iâm the sister and a DIY wedding planner. I chose to call the place. I called twice, and talked to employees and both times I explained all I needed was that quote so I can know how to move forward on making the decision on booking them for the wedding and both times I was assured a call back. Never heard back. I am an adult, I know bad customer service but i canât help but feel there is more than bad bad service here. 1, They donât know us to not want to work with us, so there is no previous business history that we would have left a bad taste in their mouth that they donât want to work with us anymore. 2, After the meeting, the groom was told he will hear back the following week, he never heard back. Bad customer service, right? Maybe not, they were moving location. The groom gave them a grace period, they are busy and itâs understandable, but still never heard back. 3, So he decided to e-mail the employee to remind her because maybe itâs been crazy because of the move. He never got a response. He e-mails 2 more different times allowing 1-2 days to pass by to give them time to respond. Still he never hears back. No way they are ignoring his attempts to have them do their job. So grooms passes on the job of trying to get a hold of them and sister takes over. 4, the sister called first time, explained when the meeting was and how long itâs been and needed a quote, she was told to hold on they will have the catering manager talk to her, pause, employee comes back says manager is busy and assured a call back. A week grace period for a call back, never heard back. 5, sister called again, explained the situation again, asking to please give her the time and give a quote and was told the person that is responsible for catering is in a CATERING MEETING! and assured a call back. Another week grace period, never heard back. Soon we are coming up on a month of waiting. We gave them every benefit of the doubt and kept contacting them but at some point we came to the conclusion itâs not them!!! Itâs us!! Like us as people, like who we are! They donât want to work with us but they canât say that so the âletâs ignore them until they go awayâ strategy was put in place. Itâs frustrating because we lost so much time trying to contact them and giving them grace periods and Itâs sad that we experienced this while planning a...
Read moreHubby and I found this little gem yesterday. Tucked away on Whitesburg, this bistro/bakery is situated in a wonderfully enchanting house. With friendly and inviting decor, and a staff willing to bend over backwards to assure each meal is perfect, Mason Dixon went well beyond my expectations. Not to mention the food! We both dined on the veggie burgers. which were, simply put, amazing. I've tried countless veggie burgers during my stint as a vegan, but Mason Dixon's veggie burger put them all to shame. The first bite into that beast of a burger (seriously, I wasn't sure how to sink my teeth into a sandwich that tall), and I was sold on this bistro forever. The bun was hefty, unlike most that turn to mush once condiments are added; this bun kept its shape and taste throughout the whole experience. The aioli was heavenly and tied the flavors of patty, "cheese" and bun altogether. My only complaint was lack of a side to go with that plate of perfection. Something crunchy, like carrot sticks would have been welcome. Moving on! Because of the inability to make a choice when it came to picking a cupcake, we bought all three vegan options. We were not disappointed. Moist, melt in your mouth dessert was thoroughly enjoyed. So perfect that my mother (we brought one home for her) refuses to believe her cupcake was vegan. The icing was thick and a little too rich while it was still cold (refrigerated case), but the icing on the two we ate later at home, after warming up a bit in the midday sun, was smooth and creamy. All in all, if you are looking to satisfy your vegan sweet tooth, Mason Dixon can provide. Their vegan menu is small, but definitely one of the better options in Huntsville for a cruelty-free dining experience. I fell in love with its charm....
Read moreOur friend of ours recommended our caterer and so glad they did! We had several consultations discussing the wedding itself and selecting possible food options. We had a tasting appointment to try out our selections and was very hard to narrow it down â everything was so good! And thatâs coming from a picky eater. Bonus they also do wedding cakes. THE CAKE. The cake was top tier! Not only did it look good but it tasted even better! We had three tiers, all different flavors and they all set the bar for the highest standard. Not one guest had a negative thing to say about the food or the desserts. They take care of the setup of the food, dessert, and cake tables and also had employees serving appetizers and dinner and cutting the cake. Ashley, Donna, and the other staff members made it their mission to make sure we were taking care of by having our private meal ready and even preparing leftovers for us to take home to eat after an extremely long day! Donna asked me several times how we were doing, if everything tasted okay, and if we liked the setup of everything. I also hosted a Bridesmaid Lunch to thank all the women involved the wedding and the planning of at the Bistro. The lunch was catered in a private room with good food and mimosas. I dropped a few bins off to be used to setup and Donna put everything out better than I couldâve imagined â it was a great start to the weekend! If you need a caterer that does more than just food, communicates well, and goes above and beyond, then Mason Dixon is the...
