Starbucks - I-45 Huntsville
Third time is usually a charm. Renovated, 2024.
I came in here for few hours while traveling through. Starbucks introduced their new, Guatemala blend for the Fall Season 2025, “Casi Cielo.”
My friendly barista, Azalea, helped me order, Casi Cielo.” I had some other personal questions about the area that she helped me with. If you’re looking for friendly, helpful and easily approachable baristas, you can’t go wrong here. Thank you, Azalea!
I’ve tried, “Casi Cielo,” first time at another location and it was too diluted with water. I didn’t really like it. Then I went to another location on a different day to see if my results would be same. Second time it tasted bold and flavorful.
Third time should be a charm. At this location I order it and it was full of bold flavors of medium roast. It has good texture when it lands on your tongue.
The place itself is very welcoming and major reason isn’t because of the newly renovated interior. Staff is the number one reason! New renovated and elegant design is secondary reason to stop by here and enjoy your stay.
From the outside, I will mention, parking is limited. You will find in front of the building, about fifteen spaces including two reserved for special assistance folks. I do like that front of the building by Patio and Drive Thru, has a big beautiful tree, providing good shade.
Patio offers one large table by front entrance with up to six chairs. Around the corner by the Drive Thru, you’ll find additional seating. Seven tables with fourteen chairs. The highlight of the patio that I really like is the three tables against the building, look like they’re in their own cubbyholes with mini covered awnings.
Once you step inside, you’ll feel the modern renovations. Immediately to your right, you’ll see a large leather bench against large panels of windows. The bench has plenty of plugs and USB ports for the seven tables along the length of the bench.
In the middle of the room you’ll also see six additional tables with twelve chairs. This is the first location for me to see all black chairs. That’s certainly a nice touch and makes this location stand out. The Order and Pick-Up counters look clean.
If you’re traveling through or live in the area, either way, you’ll enjoy your experience. This is ideal space for students or remote workers. I’m looking forward to returning and duplicating...

As far as Starbucks go, I have been very happy with this location over many (embarrassingly high number) of visits. I received both my BS & MA from SHSU, and regularly went to this Starbucks location to meet friends/colleagues, or work, over a nearly four year period. I was consistently pleased with the quality of my iced coffee (which tends to be bitter or watered down at other Starbucks locations). The staff were very friendly, and helpful with any questions I may have had. I liked working at this location, but it does tend to fill-up after 2pm and it can be hard to find a table. The staff pre-covid were very good about handing out samples of seasonal drinks, something I appreciate! Yes, this location slows down when its busy, but as anyone who has actually worked in a restaurant can tell you, this is normal (and the wait has never been more than 5minutes for me). I have an especially unique story of how awesome the staff are at this location: I went to the Texas Renaissance Festival with my then-boyfriend (now husband). As we were watching the welcome dance (this was the faerie themed weekend), we noticed that one of the fairies was heading in our directions. She reached out, and pulled me into the fairy dance! As it turns out, she and her sister, were both barista’s at the Huntsville Starbucks, and recognized me as a regular customer! It really made our Renaissance Festival, and has made it super fun going into the store. I really feel like the store employees (if you are a pleasant person) try to get to know you, and like to chat...
Read moreThey put their online/app orders in such an odd, inconvenient location. I have never been to a Starbucks (and I've been to a lot of them) that puts online/app orders next to the cash register. They are usually near the drink pick up counter. I purposely ordered ahead of time on the app because I was in a hurry. At least one employee saw me walk in and walk up to the drink pick up counter and she said nothing to me. At least one other employee saw me standing there for a while waiting for my drink and he said nothing to me. It wasn't until a third employee saw me standing there that I was finally asked if I needed help with anything. She then showed me where my drink was. It's because of her that I'm giving this 3 stars instead of less. She was kind and I appreciate her good customer service. I suggest this Starbucks location either clearly label where to pick up online/app orders, move the online/app order pick up location closer to the normal pick up counter, or start asking people if they need anything. Nobody likes to go into a business and get ignored. Great customer service should really...
