Triple TJ’s cafe was voted “Mayor’s Restaurant of the Year” in 2015. Time to try it out and see what it offers.
I ordered the Rueben Burger which is not a typical order for me, but for some reason stood out on their menu today.
I am a fan of a burger that doesn’t fit the usual mold, and this one definitely is not a burger you can get at just any restaurant.
What they do well:
Cleanliness, I love a barefoot lifestyle so I pay particular attention to this. They were very clean and nothing stuck to my feet.
Decor, lots of unique pictures of Zion which adds to the ambiance.
Food, the Reuben came with a hand pressed burger, not a pre shaped box patty. The bun was perfectly soft and crunchy, and the sauerkraut had great flavor but was not overwhelming.
There was a good helping of pastrami, which was refreshing, as some places tend to go light on the meat.
The fries were also cooked to perfection, not soggy, and had a nice crunch to them. There was an almost imperceptible flavor of fish or shrimp with the fries. Maybe from using the same oil or basket to fry them in. Well worth getting for sure.
Staff, friendly and helpful. They kept my water full.
The food was timely, but it wasn’t very busy when I arrived.
What looked plain from the outside ended up being very worth while on the inside. May this be a lesson for all, the inside is what matters.
What could improve:
Honestly, I could find much here, the only thing that didn’t sit well was the paint color on the wall. I’ll let you be the judge of that!
Came hungry, left full! I’ll be coming back for the ribs soon!
I spent $14 on an amazing burger 🍔, well...
Read moreHey yall, came here for our second time and again it didn’t disappoint ! First time I got a salad which had fresh greens, cherry tomatoes etc. It looked small but it filled me up. Today (July 22, 2025) my mother, her husband and I went again. We got the country fried steak, bacon cheeseburger, classic burger and the southwest pasta. And every one of us were really impressed with the ingredients overall. Usually restaurants don’t want to over cook the noodles so they undercook them but they were damn near perfect. I want to point out today was the second time my mom’s husband got the country fried steak and we can tell that the corn didn’t come out of a can. My mom and her husband like fries and really really liked their fries, I didn’t eat the fries but I sure heard the crunch. They mentioned they were soft in the inside. Let me not forget about the apple berry pie with ice cream. It was delicious! If y’all have ever been to Julian in Cali (California) it’s practically a piece of Julian pie. Tastes so fresh so warm and a great combination with the ice cream. They are sweet but not too sweet which makes them palatable. I’m glad we went there and don’t believe it’ll be our last. Two ladies were attending us every so often, just on top of their game. We knocked over a glass of water but they didn’t seem to be annoyed or mad with us. They still attended us the same. It’s really the little things and they make them all count.
Great atmosphere, good lighting, and a good spot to just go to.
Long story short, I’d definitely...
Read moreHi all! Today after a very long day of hiking Bryce Canyon, driving to Zion, and hiking multiple trails at Zion, we stopped at Triple TJs Cafe. We were craving pasta and through a quick Google search, I saw one of the first photos here had pasta. So we hit the road and went to Triple Tjs. Coincidentally our hotel ended up being right across the street. We both ordered pasta, I ordered chicken Alfredo and he ordered romantic chicken. We both also got a salad. Our salad came out very quickly, and was delicious. Our meals came out very shortly after. At this time we realized we were the only 2 Left in the restaurant, We didn’t even realize the time when we arrived. Turns out they close at 8:00 pm, it was about 7:20pm as we were finishing our entrees. We hate to keep people late, therefore we ordered our dessert while we were still eating.
Our server was on top of things. She kept our drinks refilled, and kept making sure we were okay. We got our dessert right as we finished our entrees, and we were out the door before closing. At no point did anyone make us feel rushed. We had a very eventful day and completely lost track of time. This restaurant was very very good. It’s casual, and the service was some of the best we have had on our 8 day road trip, thus far. We will definitely return to Triple TJs the next time we are at Zion, and I will highly recommend it to any friends or family traveling...
