BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse — Restaurant in Hurst

(I just revised my previous review to 5 stars from 4 stars because I was just thinking about fish tacos and I immediately remembered how delicious they were at BJ's.) My recent visit to BJ's Restaurant was a small family get together for dinner. The restaurant was about half full at 7:00 pm on a weeknight. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about their extensive menu. There are a lot of choices on the menu from sandwiches & burgers & pizza to pork chops, seafood, Italian, Mexican & Cajun. I had the shrimp soft tacos, which was actually shrimp or fish or one of each. I had one shrimp soft taco and one fish soft taco. You can choose between shrimp or Mahi Mahi cooked grilled or blackened. I chose grilled. It comes with chips as a side. (I wish it offered a Rice option with cilantro & lime and a little fresh pico w/black bean and corn. Please think about it.) Our food was ready in less than 10 minutes, hot and fresh from the kitchen. My tacos were full of shrimp and fish and shredded cabbages with a very nice, light and unique dressing. I need to start off saying the food was excellent. My shrimp and fish were grilled PERFECTLY. The seafood was tender and succulent, not overcooked (like other restaurants tend to do). The two tacos were actually quite filling and satisfying. The cost of my entree was around $16, which at first I thought was a little pricy for seafood tacos. But when I tasted these seafood tacos I could tell right away these were not prepared by your average everyday restaurant cook. These were prepared by a very talented chef, who knows how to make delicious food that will dance on your taste buds when you eat it. You get what you pay for, and I got the best shrimp and fish tacos ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have ever eaten and I would gladly order this again next time I come back. Among the other entrees ordered at our table was the Cajun Jambalaya ($20) which I was told was delicious, the Seared Ahi Salad ($20+/-), the Chicken Alfredo, and a Jalapeno burger. Jessica - A Shining Star at BJ's! I recently had the pleasure of dining at BJ's Restaurant, and I have to rave about the exceptional service I received from our server, Jessica. From the moment we were seated, Jessica radiated warmth and genuine enthusiasm. She didn't just take our order; she made us feel like valued guests. Straight up, BJ’s at the Northeast Mall is one of my favorite spots to eat, no question. If you know me, you know I love a good burger — and BJ’s never disappoints. Their cheeseburgers are legit fire. The patties are always juicy, thick, and cooked just how you want it. Like, not dry or all over the place — just real solid every time. Throw some bacon or avocado on there and it’s game over.

And don’t even get me started on the pizookies. Those things are dangerously good. The giant ones are perfect when you’re there with your people and wanna share, but even the regular ones hit hard. Warm cookie + melting ice cream on top? That combo never misses. I don’t care how full I am from the burger, I always make room for a pizookie.

But fr, what really makes this BJ’s stand out is the service. Every time I’ve gone, the workers are just super nice and respectful. Like, you walk in and they actually greet you with a smile, and they don’t act annoyed when you ask questions or change stuff on your order. They’re quick with it too — food comes out on time, refills come without you having to ask twice, and everything’s just smooth. You can tell they care about making your visit good, which you don’t always get at other places.

The whole vibe is chill but kinda classy too. Like, you can go there for a casual dinner, a family meal, or even a little date night and it still fits. They keep the place clean, the booths are comfy, and it’s just a nice spot to relax and eat some...
