Read moreAbsolutely horrid customer service. Avoid catering with Eddie Merlot’s at all cost. After a reasonable experience in January hosting a business gathering with 20 physicians we made the mistake of repeating the order this past Friday for the same group of guests . Not only did the price increase over 20% , but the portion sizes were cut to the point where we were forced to order pizza to for the event when $1000 of catering amounted to 2 comically small platters of meat, a iceberg lettuce salad , 10 or so shrimp, a plate of the cheapest cheeses that Aldi would be ashamed to carry, and a few grapes without even crackers or some matching item . What made the experience particularly delightful was speaking with the manager who blatantly lied and stated that the number of guests was never communicated. A comical lie which only illustrated management’s incompetence… I was expected to believe the physician who called in the order (in my presence none-the-less) was a liar , and a catering service did not question the number of people to be served . Apparently the hospitals budget isn’t sufficient to have catering service with Eddie’s , nor are they interested in repeat business after essentially swindling our department of funds . What was particularly helpful was the manager telling me that the $1000 budget was insufficient for the party size at the time of the event , and that she “even added extra cookies “ . Brilliant . That obviously replaces entrees . Rude doesn’t begin to describe the interaction . “Our prices have gone up 3 times in the last year “ I was told as some sort of excuse for the failure to appropriately cater . This was after repeatedly insisting that we certainly never communicated the number of guests . No attempt was made to come to a resolution . A complete embarrassment of a situation . The most unfortunate part actually is that I will need to return to this shameful establishment to get an itemized receipt , because they failed to provide even that basic service . Do yourself a favor and go to Kroger for catering . $1000 may feed 6 people otherwise . Although my colleagues and I do certainly appreciate being told by the manager of this garbage little restaurant that we are liars . Horrid horrid experience . Again avoid if you value your...
Read moreGraduating is such a huge accomplishment, so celebrating at a nice restaurant with my loved ones (which was a party of 10) was so important to me, but our experience with this Eddie Merlot location was BEYOND terrible. We got seated early 8:00pm where our original reservation time was for 8:30pm so a good start, however I reserved for 10 and table was set for 8 guest. Our server seemed very “NEW” or not comfortable with our table as she continued to forget our orders not putting them in and did not visit our table often throughout the night to see if we needed anything. To put it into further prospective, we did not get our entrees until around 10:20ish pm and after sitting for sooo long with delayed drinks and appetizers throughout the night it was quite disappointing. We all ended up having to take our food to go because it was just draining to continue even wait on the delayed service after closing time(they close at 10:00pm). The food also was delivered to us cold. Two members of my party expressed to management our concerns about the service given and the manager continued to sway the topic as if we did not want to tip her(our server). No one ever stated they did not want to tip the server as majority of the party at the table also work within the service industry and knows exactly how pay is in this industry. So for the manger to blatantly disregard what was actually being said and redirecting it back to how he assumed we were trying not to tip her was just insane. The concern we had was the service! That was it! It was very obvious on how other tables around us were being treated comparable to our service and I’m not one to think I’m being mistreated because I’m my SKIN COLOR, but it was very much giving exactly that the whole night. With the amount of money people spend to have a seat at the table to eat here they should never be treated the way we were treated. I felt completely disrespected on what was suppose to be such a beautiful moment/night for me with no regard to what my actual concern was. I have had way better service while spending less so I would not recommend celebrating anything important to you here or even spending any money here with the service I’ve experienced. Take your money to restaurants that would treat you...
