After my wife and I discovered McAlister's Deli in Florence, Kentucky on our 25th anniversary getaway, we were thoroughly pleased with our food order. I decided to do repeat business with the chain here in Indianapolis which turned into a totally different experience...after asking the staff about my order which was different from the one we received at the Florence location, I was told the cheese dip for the Ultimate Nachos were mixed in with the chili (which was watered down compared to our first franchise visit). I reached out to their site for answers but was sent the email in the photos...I explained that in the Florence order we were given a full 4 oz. cup of chili and a 4 oz. cup of cheese dip for both orders...As evidenced by the photo we were given a 4 oz. cup of chili with just a squirt of cheese (not the 8 oz. cup of chili and cheese dip he claimed they gave us in the email)...
I was a foodservice manager for 6 years so I know what a 4 oz cup looks like versus an 8 oz. cup looks like...
Never tell a customer their complaint was incorrect, especially when the picture supports the claim...and only send them enough points to cover only one of the misportioned orders...
In a sluggish economy, never insult the customer's intelligence...it was obvious that food cost was more important than customer satisfaction at this location...I also tipped 20% of the bill before receiving the order...
We will spend those points on our next trip to Florence, Kentucky but we will not frequent McAllister's Deli in the Indianapolis...
Read moreThis location has been open for business about 6 months. Upon opening it was a very good location to eat. Over the past couple of months myself and family have eaten here on three occasions in which the food is always cold, small portions and not a very good value for your money. On or about the middle of June purchased soup and sandwich combo’s. The soup Cold the sandwiches cold. They microwaved it all. On or about the first week of July again cold food sandwiches consisted of one slice of roast beef. They charge 8.99-9.50 for a full size sandwich. You can go to Arby, subway, penn station almost any sub or sandwich shop in town and get a roast beef sandwich for just about half this price. Today July 27th last and final time trying this place. Cold sandwich’s the meat on all was cold like they had just came from freezer or fridge. One roast beef dip 4” sandwich was served as a whole sandwich. $9.00 for this 4” sandwich. Like I said you can go anywhere and get a sandwich this size for half this price or get a foot long or two sandwichs for this price. They’re not all that to the point where they’re worth 9.00 for a 4” roast beef sandwich. They remade food. Again second time meat on all sandwiches were refrigerator cold. Wasn’t going to ask them to microwave this time. Ridiculous! Got a refund and went somewhere else....
