Royal Ranch House — Restaurant in Irondale

Really no complaints here, other than that my Uber Eats delivery driver got my food to me a half hour later than the end of my 30-min window I'd prescheduled the day prior. Not sure how someone could be that incompetent, but the $40 worth of food was cold.

All that aside, I could still tell it was tasty before it got to me lukewarm so that's definitely not the restaurant's fault. I got okra, tacos, gizzards, banana pudding, and a French vanilla coffee. The only real qualms I had were how small the dessert was (maybe 5 bites?) and that the coffee was super watered down and barely flavorful. Otherwise, the actual food was delicious.

Would definitely try something other dishes in the future, only next time, I'll make sure Jasmine...

I live in the area and have been waiting for them to open for months. First time today, I’m a sandwich guy, and just had to try their burger. A pinch more salt and pepper my burger meat, would have been the most amazing. I shared my burger with a few people in the area, they all loved it. Can’t wait to try their Philly. Update. I tried the Philly, and here’s the thing. Leading off, it tasted sensational. Here’s the “yeah, but…”. It was smaller than I expected (that’s what she said). A 6” sub roll and there wasn’t a lot meat/veggies to offset the $6 price tag. The dagger to my heart was they use white processed cheese (like craft singles) instead of provolone so it made it REALLY thick and viscous drowning out the meat...

When my coworker told me about this place, I said I had to try it. Their Cajun ranch fries are delicious, and the Philly cheese steak. But there are plenty of other options to choose from. Those 2 are just my favorites. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. But I want to get give a big shout out to Muad. I went there and had a big order. I asked if they had any peach cobbler, and he said that they did. I asked him if I could get some, but I wanted a big container of it. He said, "No worries, I got you." I told him that I would pay for it and he said don't worry, I got you. I'm glad they are here...
