Circle K — Local services in Irondale

The morning crew at this location is highly disappointing and does not reflect well on the establishment. If I were the owner, I would be concerned about the quality of service provided during this shift. The staff appears to treat Caucasian customers disrespectfully, which is unacceptable. I try to avoid visiting during this shift, but when I must, I am met with unfriendly looks and curt responses such as "ya" or "what you want," making me feel unwelcome despite being a paying customer.

I have observed the staff interacting warmly with other employees and customers of the same ethnicity, but their demeanor changes noticeably when serving me or anyone outside of their race. I frequent this location mainly for the cigarette prices. On one occasion, when I attempted to input my number for a discount, I was falsely informed by an employee that the discount no longer applied. The employee then forced me out, locked the door, and walked away. The general attitude of the staff remains unchanged.

This establishment requires immediate attention and improvement. There is only one employee who consistently provide good service: the long-serving afternoon shift gentleman.

Overall, the environment is uncomfortable, and I strongly urge the owner to monitor and address employee behavior more closely. Given the numerous negative reviews, I suspect sales are suffering. I recommend avoiding this location...

Incredibly rude and unprofessional employees. The guy last night (2-23-23 9 pm) seemed drunk while working, but was friendly. I went for a coffee this morning before leaving town (6:40am 2-24-23) and there was no half and half. The lady with the circle k shirt, who I would not have believed was an employee had she not walk behind the counter, seemed upset when I interrupted her conversation about "that white lady that was in the store". She was standing in front of the coffee blocking it for a good minute seeing that I was waiting to fill my cup. I asked about half and half since it was empty, and her response was, "We don't have any." She then walked behind the counter and never said another word as she took my payment. No "thank you for shopping here, have a nice day!" Not even a smile or a friendly look. She just seemed upset that I was shopping there... The cashier named Jasmine is really rude. Just walked in to get drinks for my Mom and Dad like I normally do as I'm making their drinks she walked up with a nasty attitude and says, " I don't know what you gone do, I'm not ringing you up and I'm the only one here, since you say that I always have a attitude problem, don't come back while I'm in here." I had the cash in my pocket and I walked out with the drinks because she refused my money. She has no professionalism, I didn't ask for her vulgar attitude at the drink station. Now the whole world will know about how she treats customers and she isn't the store manager I come there all the time and I'll continue to spend my money at the store if I want to, it's my money and a cashier from an underprivileged environment because she's not from Irondale and I was raised here and she has no right to tell me not to go there.
