Dollar General — Local services in Irondale

Come to this Dollar General quite frequently.. Is sometimes multiple times in a week.. Generally it's pretty pleasant. Besides the lack of stock and the boxes everywhere.. But today as I stood in line and observed the cashier.. As multiple customers went through her line.. She did not take the time to utter one word to any 1.. There was not a hello ..there was not a this is your total.. there was not a thank you. there was nothing and I was the third person in line. so I got to stand there through 3 people speaking to this lady .and her not even acknowledging anyone .. To say the customer service was lacking today would be a gigantic understatement.. Definitely disappointed in this experience and I'm sure the other customers were as well!! Friday...

I usually don't review stores bc typically the experience will depend on the day, but I gotta say there has been a 100,000% improvement in this one over the last month or so. There was a time I would walk thru the door & be hit with the foulest odor it would make me wanna turn back around, plus ppl could barely pass each other to get to items with boxes everywhere. Now the floors are clean, the aisles are clear & organized, the smell is completely gone, and the employees are much friendlier. This is now my favorite quick stop on my way to work or home. I was in the Irondale area and Googled "pet supplies near me" hoping I wouldn't have to drive to Trussville. (Looking for flea power) DG's ad popped up stating that they have an extensive pet supply department. They dont. I know a lot of places have limited deliveries because of COVID19. But really all they had was pet food and some treats. I didn't shop for anything else or look around and I didn't interact with any employees. So this review is based ONLY on pet supply availability and the accuracy of the ad. This really isn't a viable option for...
