Located in the Omni Las Colinas is this beautiful and unassuming hidden gem of a breakfast spot. The restaurant has an uplifting and bright color scheme which makes for a pleasant environment, they also offer both a buffet and a la carte options which is a huge plus for me. Terah is always awesome and goes that extra mile to ensure I am taken care of every visit, I recommend asking for her. The buffet is only $22 per person, and is all you can eat. It includes the full works in hot items, two made-to-order eggs, drinks, pastries/breads, fruits, cereals, and more. Everything is of superb quality and is made fresh daily too. I particularly found the pancakes in the buffet line to be impressive both in flavor and quality, and was served with real maple syrup. A welcomed upgrade over the stale frozen pancakes and cheap imitation syrup in a lot of other hotels. I came pretty close to closing, but everything was stocked, and Terah wanted to make sure that I and the other diners were able to get another helping of food before they put away everything, and I did not feel like I needed to rush to leave out of the area, which is genuine hospitality. Overall I had a wonderful experience and look forward to another breakfast here next time I stay or...
Read moreWe stayed at the Omni and had a late Saturday breakfast here. First of all, it's awesome that they serve breakfast until noon. Super great. We arrived about 11:00am and were seated quickly at a nice table. The ambience is quite good. Lots of natural light. Farm-style decor. We decided to enjoy the breakfast buffet. $22 per person wasn't bad at all for the quality received. Included our juice and coffee as well. We liked just about everything we ate. Fruit, eggs, meats, baked goods. The only detractor was the service. Our server was quick to get us drinks at the beginning of the meal, but she brought our check before we had even finished our first trip to the buffet. And then we didn't see her again! Had to flag down other servers for refills. Very bizarre. But overall, it was a very good experience, and we would return if staying...
Read moreDo not expect to be able to get a mimosa or any other brunch cocktail just because it's on the menu. I was staying here to enjoy a weekend getaway and this always includes a mimosa with my brunch. However, 15-20 minutes after we ordered the drinks we were told they couldn't find the liquor cabinet key. We came with 2 kids and it took us asking twice to get kids menus. Even though the pretty area with a view to the lake was open, we were sat next to the buffet and it made it feel very hotel-ish. All the eggs were cooked incorrectly. I had 2 over easy and one was over hard and the other over medium. My kids were supposed to get fried egg whites and got scrambled. The chiliquilas were ok. The buffet did look great but my husband said it was alright. Very disappointed. Should've went...
