Stayed and attended a conference. The hotel suite was very good. Highly recommend to install a rubber seal on the shower door. It’s so unsafe to get out of the shower into a very wet floor. The bar was very good. Mark, who is a bartender, was very helpful, knowledgeable on cocktails, and very courteous.
The valet parking reads $25.00 plus tax, however when u check-out it’s $27.00 on the bill. No where in the bill list the $2.00 tax and no way to verify what kind of tax as they do for the room.
Another thing, myself and another crew member lost their jackets. Front desk claims that no one turn-in the jackets. Such a “classy” hotel and security had no idea as they look thru cameras? Maybe the cameras are fake or not working.
Be careful when you return the hotel from a walk because the hotel sidewalk that is next to the conference rooms is very, very slippery. Someone is going to get hurt. I advised the front desk but during my 5 days nothing was done to prevent it or clean it. I guess they are waiting for someone to fall.
The conference bathroom near the hotel bar at the urinal dividers are coming off and it appears that they have been like that for some time. This is another example of the hotel not keeping up with basic maintenance.
The room has free WiFi but hardly works. They offer another WiFi at a cost. I reported my room WiFi not working and the front desk provided a 1-888 number that is always busy. Again, this is a basic and no help in getting through the 888. I gave up!
Make sure to try the OCT (little store) ice cream. It’s delicious, but they do not take cash. The ATM is $4.50 per transaction. Incredible!
The conference breakfast and luncheon food was super good. Not your typical conference food. Those cooks without a question work with pride. The service within the waiters was very professional. The crew that set up the electronics was also knowledgeable and professional.
The front desk upon arrival was very professional and welcome my stay. Without delay I was on my way to the room. Upon departing, the front desk was fast with no departure greetings and upon questioning of why the bill reflects $27.00 on the valet - the only answer was that the tax is included. I recommend for the tax to be separate so it can be easy to explain.
They had a fire place outside the hotel and a cigar was there every day, which leaves the smell, which for many people it is an ugly smell.
Doing a conference and or events at Omni Las Colinas is excellent; however, the hotel up keep is not that good. I definitely will attempt to research why tax is not listed on the bill. I will not stay at Las Colinas Omni...
Read morePool was very busy and with a normal 100 degree weather, you do not have umbrellas available for all the lounge chairs. Charging parking of $18 per day without notifying me up front at booking. I stay here often and one of the big reasons i stay here is because of the no cost easy parking. Not a good surprise at check-in. Garage arms broke on my second day of a week long stay. so everyone else parked for free but i still got charged $18 a day. you are going to raise the rates, you need to raise the quality-Bed was old and made you roll to the center of the bed-replace the mattress. they don't last forever. Great remodel on the inside lobby but you need to work on the rooms. faucets leaked in the bathroom. Housekeeping did a great job on my room every day. It was always refreshed before noon which was nice. No free bottled water in the room. The complementary upgrade to the 27th floor (2716) was very nice. Complimentary cafe and bar coupons were great. We used a few for the Over the Counter shop. Latte and Cappucino coffee was not done correctly - you could tell by the flavor they didnt tamp down properly and the shot wasnt good. Maybe other people might not notice or care but being from Seattle this is important and one of the reasons i enjoy coffee. The price charged for this is extreme. I would not purchase at these prices. We ate at the restaurant in the lobby. Awful experience - chaotic - nobody to direct you to say seat yourself-tables not wiped. Had to ASK the waitress to wipe the table once we seated ourselves. Food was great. Different wait staff wandering around taking food to the wrong tables including ours and seemed to be very common. Would only eat here again as a last resort. Again if you are going to raise the rates-bring your game. I will have to think hard before staying here again.
Update: Management was kind enough to refund my parking fees. Love staying at...
Read moreI decided to do a little one night staycation after a small plan change, and I am so glad I chose this hotel. At arrival the property is immaculately kept and has that grand feel as you drive up. The option of self parking was also pleasant. At check in, Brittney was wonderful. She asked if I had any requests and I only requested highest floor available, she said she was able to locate me a room on the top floor that connected to a suite. When I went into the room though, it was amazing, I would have believed it was a suite on its own. The room was large with a sofa area, large windows with an amazing city view, a beautiful bathroom and dressing area, and a very nice bed. Chromecast and the klur bath products were also a big plus. I loved the room and this small gesture absolutely made my week and a lasting impression. I opted to apply the F&B credit option and Mark at the LRH bar took great care of me, and the burger I ordered was delicious, portions were spot on and the price also was reasonable for the elevated quality of the food. The pool and fitness facilities were also well above standards, and you can take an evening stroll down the riverwalk. At breakfast it was advertised that the buffet was only on weekends, but when I went down on a Thursday I was very pleasantly surprised with an expansive buffet waiting for me. The buffet included pastries, cereals, any hot item you can think of, fruit, made-to order eggs and omelettes, and beverage all for $22, which is very reasonable in 2025. Terah took care of me for breakfast and was so kind making a very pleasant start to my morning. When the experience finished, Gabrielle was pleasant at check out and wrapped things up perfectly. I left feeling refreshed and reinvigorated, and look forward to my return, and I will recommend everyone...
