Totally Tea & Boba — Restaurant in Irving

The WORST boba experience ever! Don't be deceived by the high rating unless you want to get overcharged for POWDERED drinks.

TLDR: Almost $7 for a drink that not only doesn't contain any actual tea but they couldn't even use fresh whole milk...

I was already so skeptical when I first walked in and saw tubs of powder on the counter. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a few drinks. I initially asked about their "world famous" signature drinks to see if I was just milk because the photos looked so white. I was told that, yes, it was just "whole milk". Thus, I ordered the Brown Sugar Milk "Tea" and was told that the signature drink and the Brown Sugar Milk Tea were the same thing. ...How in the world does a milk "tea" not contain any tea?!

Inconsistent to say the least. The first time I went, we got the coffee milk tea, and a watermelon smoothie with boba. It was a lady working. Both drinks were amazing. Tonight, we ordered the strawberry milk tea, and the honeydew smoothie. The milk tea was okay. The smoothie was more like a slushee with chunky ice and very watery. I kindly asked if the watermelon smoothie would be the sam consistency and the gentleman (Andrew) said no. So I tipped cash and asked to remake the drink for the watermelon smoothie I knew I’d love. When I received it, it was still slush and contained ice chunks. I asked for a refund and he said it’s not possible and gave me a coupon for a free drink for next visit. Unfortunately this business doesn’t have a telephone number to call so I can see if the lady is working whenever I decide to return. There is a girl that works here, she is a student. Every time I visit she always seems annoyed. She’s usually on her laptop doing homework or on the phone. When you enter she hops up and runs behind the counter. It’s 2023 so I understand the culture is pretty lax these days but I found it very uncomfortable that she took my order while on FaceTime with someone. I ordered 2 Regular(Small) bobas which are completely overpriced. My total was $14.08. I had cash and gave her $20. She asked me if I had 8 cents. I did not have 8 cents. She then told me she did not have change to give me if I paid with cash. I did not have a debit card on me at the time. So I ended up having to leave because there seemed to be no solution as to how she and this BUSINESS could make this transaction work. Could we have applied a discount? Rounded up, rounded down?
