Adding further review on 10/24/21: In last few months, I have noticed this location do not follow the opening hours as posted specially on Sunday. For example it says they open at 8am on Sundays, today I was at 8:10am.. was able to post app order for breakfast and then waiting in drive through lane for someone to talk to .. No one answered and then made a round of the building.. seems like no one was there inside but noticed two cards parked outside. not sure if staff were preparing breakfast in kitchen.. but whatever reason.. I could not get breakfast and had to go to MacD. I understand due to less demand/staff shortage.. it might not be viable to open very early on Sundays but if we can update to corporate and get the app timing updated it may help. also I think they should have some kind of indication on drive through lane saying if it is closed or open. even in night many times if go. keep waiting at drive through only to realize no one is in store. I am sure many customer might be reaching late night and dealing with the same.. some indication in the lane that we are closed now.. would help a lot.
This review was written in 2019 I was using McDonald app to order quick food from drive thru and it was amazing to save time.. so I thought to give a try to Wendys. I have used it three times so far and experience is getting worse. Hope someone reads it and take actions. I will give enough details so that you can give these feedback to product manager to start thinking. (1) I order food from this location - 1000 W Walnut Hill Lane, Irving, TX 75038. It seems like drive thru staff are not at all trained for mobile order. First when I say I have to pick up my mobile order, they have hard time understanding what I want to do. (2) when I went to second window, they had hard time finding my order.. and finally they found it but they asked me to pay, I told I already paid, then she start asking you paid only $5.29. .that is less than the price of sandwich. she was in complete dismay how on this earth I can get combo for only $5.29. Though it was embarrassing situation but I tried to explain that I took an online deal which gave me $2 off. After all the questions she gave me food. To the contrast, same experience from McDonald has always been amazing as they do not care what I paid or what I am ordering. With minimal amount of talking they pass me the bag and I keep moving. Very fast. I do not have to spend more than 10 seconds at window and almost no talking. (3) The first experience at Wendy was so bad that I wanted to write review but I let it go assuming their drive thru person need to be trained for mobile order and probably they need to interface their app properly . However second time was kind of okay so I did not pursued on writing the review. (4) Today when I tried to pick up the order, though the lady was nice but she was completely helpless in finding my order. She called another lady to help and she tried on another computer and they could not find there too. I was showing my app screen that I have placed order and I have already paid it. After waiting for few minutes, they were completely helpless. Only option for me was to cancel order and place new order but all on a sudden she found my order and gave me food. I use he app and drive thru to save time and experience but at Wendy's experience is no where close to McDonald. They have to find right way to integrate the mobile app order in the system which they have at drive thru window. Proper training of the their staff is needed so that they can process the order fast...
Read moreI wish I could have giving a - star. What is wrong with some of the employees at this Wendy's!? If you don't want to work there, quit! You shouldn't get paid one cent for rude manners towards your patrons. They can't get your order right if it was to save their on lives. Yesterday on 5/12/2018 I drove to Wendy's on 1000 W Walnut Hill Ln, Irving, TX 75038. My order was a very simple order. I drove up to the drive thru and request from the menu. I ask for 6 frosty's. I said to the female " I like four Chocolate and two vanilla. To be honest I did say the order as four vanilla two chocolate but I corrected myself quickly. I said it a few times to make sure she got it right. She asked me what size I replied " The small $0.50 frosty's." She repeated my order wrong not once, not twice but three times, If not more. She instructed me to drive around after giving a total that wasn't correct. I drove up and politely ask her the repeat the order please. This is where it really get's odd. She said's " 2 Chocolate 2 Vanilla. As she rolls her eye balls. I let her know that the order wasn't right. I even said to her maybe you couldn't hear me back there. She looks at me with a nasty attitude. I begin to repeat the right order. I tell her it's four chocolate and two vanilla. She makes the corrections. The female never tells me sorry about the mistake. She give me the new total and I pay her. She gives me my change. She stacks all six onto one caring tray. When she hands them to me one falls off of course. She shouldn't have ever place them that way in the first place. I think she was to worried about one of those nasty fake nails falling off of her hands. I sure hope and pray that one of those nasty fake lashes she was wearing didn't fall into one of the cups. She was also tattooed with nasty ones too. She rolls her nasty eye balls and gets another one and hands it to me. I was trying to juggled the tray and hold the other frosty all while teller her to give me two seconds to place things down so that I can take control of the steering wheel to drove off. Never a polite expression. Never a kind face. Never a warm voice. Never once thanking me for business and visiting Wendy's. Again, I was never once greeted with politeness during the transaction. She was 100% NASTY! My business isn't welcomed. FINE! I will take it elsewhere. I am sorry I had to go off like this but I was...
Read moreRating is pertaining to this location only. I used mobile app to order so I could take advantageof the offers and opted to pick-up via the drive-thru and sat there for almost 5 minutes before asked what I wanted. I need to mention that this location did not appear to be extremely busy. I didn't get a Hi or welcome...just what is your order or something to that nature. After advising I had a mobile order and gave my name, I was then rudely directed to the 2nd window, no thank you or please, just "2nd window". I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they were short on staff, but when I made it to the "2nd window", to my surprise, they were adequately staffed. After the person finally decided to walk over to the window, I was asked the name on the mobile order again and asked to pull up in front of the side entrance and someone would bring out my order. Before driving off, I overheard the worker ask if they received a mobile order?! It did not take long for a young lady to bring my order, she apologized for the wait and thanked me...she should have been at the drive-thru because she was much more pleasant. I drove off with my order, made it home within a few minutes and opened my bag to cold fries and a burger that was not prepared as I requested: "no bun, no ketchup and no mayo". I am gluten free and sugar free , so I always ask for no bun and no condiments. On top of that, the burger was cold. Worst experience I have ever had and a $10...
