Morada Bay — Restaurant in Islamorada

I’m so sad to write this terrible review. This place must be u for some new careless ownership and management. We have been going here for 9 years and went there as recently as a year ago. Everything was great. Today however was terrible. Sat down and ordered quickly since I knew it would be busy. Our food was served 30 minutes later with no silverware or napkins. Had to wait another 10 minutes. Kept going downhill from there, our server never showed up and we saw she only served one big table. Everyone around us was also getting super anxious and upset. Table next to us didn’t get a server for 30 minutes. Fine whatever we ate our food and enjoyed the view. Told our server we were ready to pay and asked for key lime pie to go. She disappeared for 30 minutes and we had to get up countless times to try and track her down but every single server was incompetent. Finally the manager showed up and I happily shared my thoughts. She admitted the place was a mess and apologized. But it was a very upsetting experience and I will not be back until this is improved. The whole vibe was off from the server staff to their attitude to the way they have seating. They take reservations now (which they didn’t even a year ago) and they have absolutely no clue how to...

Great ambience right next to the water. I didn't get to eat but wanted to offer my experience. The hostess was quite rude in her disrespectful tone and unfriendly manner "do you have a reservation?" . I wanted take out. The online menu says beyond burger but the in restaurant they took it off. Glad I spent ZERO DOLLARS. Then noticed how nice she was with white bodied customers behind me. All Welcoming and friendly. I call that Black and Black hateration. Fish tacos were quite good, and cocktails menu was interesting. Beautiful scenery and great spot for sunset views. That’s where I finish with compliments. We had the least attentive server I have EVER had at an establishment, and we eat out often. Suffice it to say he entirely forgot to put in our food order, and then only asked about drinks after not visiting our table for about 30+ minutes. And no, it was not super busy.
