My letter to corporate: My husband, 6 yr old daughter and I originally tried going to the Arlington (Oh) location but unfortunately they close at 3 on Wednesdays night now. The website didn't address that but staffing shortages are understandable (we work in health-care we completelyunderstand). Since we had already driven 30 minutes south for Golden Corral we decided to head down to the canton location. We were very excited as we go twice a year and our daughter talks about it until we go again. Imagine our disappointment when we get our table and head to the buffet. Most of the food out was still lunch food, at nearly 6 pm. Although the fish was very good. The seafood salad had one scoop left the entire time we were there. My daughter typically loves to get the salad but the tomatoes were under cloudy water, the cucumbers were dry the ranch had a film over it. There was a few small mushy pieces of watermelon that was never refilled. The hot dinner food was labeled as dinner food but 80% of the food wasn't what was labeled and it was old and dried out. The fish was good. Notice I keep mentioning the fish? Because of everything we put on our plates it was the only thing we took more than 2 bites of before we couldn't eat it. The burboun chicken would have been good if it wasn't the same bottom of the pan that was there the entire time. The ribs were so over warmed you couldn't really take a bite off them. The steaks that are supposed to be cooked to order were stacked already cooked when we arrived and when I requested the staff tried to give me them (granted this was 30 minutes after I had been there.) There was no shrimp, the meatloaf was hard. And the desserts were crunchy cake slices. The cakes were crunchy. All of them. I know this because my husband went and tried them all before he just gave up. The fish was good and the only thing we were able to actually eat and enjoy. Our daughter enjoyed the ice cream that I had to serve her on a plate because there were no bowls. Meanwhile one of the dessert workers ignored a woman who asked 5 times what a certain cake was. I replied that I thought it was a strawberry something to which the employee then decided she was done ignoring the question because she chimed in to yell at me that it's not strawberry, it's cherry jello and that I shouldn't tell people what things are if I'm not making it. The toppings for my daughters icecream were pie fillings (apple or strawberry) a forever empty whipped cream bowl and stale peanuts. She was done after one bite. The only ray of light during our $45 disappointment was our server Heti? Neti? She did her best to cheer everyone up and keep us laughing through the joke of what was supposed to be dinner. As we were exiting at 7pm dinner was coming out, unfortunately my husband and I were full of fish and my daughter needed the restroom and we had to leave to take her to a gas station because the same overflowed toilet, with the mess on the floor taking up all but 2 stalls was still there an hour after we arrived. My daughter hasn't spoken of the experience, except the confusion of why nobody cleaned up the dirty toilet water and if we could stop somewhere for dinner because she was hungry as she didn't eat anything after one bite (and she doesn't eat fish). Again i completely understand being short staffed. I get it and that is ok. What isn't ok is to allow an establishment in those conditions. Perhaps the best idea is to close on Wednesdays Lime the Arlington location. I don't complain to companies or corporations due to mistakes, until today. I am so disappointed and disgusted over yesterday's ordeal. I spent $54.25 on dinner 10 of which was our server's tip, which she earned and I was pleased to give. As a corporation I believe it's time for you to evaluate the situation...
Read moreRead moreTerrible atmosphere!!! Yes or no? Well, me and my fiancé went around 5:30 (bad decision #1) on a Saturday night (bad decision #2) and when we walked in they were obviously pretty busy, as expected. We pay and tell the greeter lady our drink choices and we go struggle to find a seat. We gave the waiter in our section our drink receipt and it took about 15-20 minutes for him to bring us our drinks. He also forgot straws and silverware packs. Everything seems to be going ok until two seperate families came in and sat near us and both families had terrible kids. I’m talking these kids were going up to the food bars and dessert bars dumping all the desserts on their plates, running around cutting in front of other people, including myself, making the utmost of messes and just being all around gross. One kid in particular stood out the most. He was a heavier set kid and the whole time he wouldn’t sit, he kept running to the food bars pilling his plates shockingly high. I noticed him taking out the serving dishes from the counter and pouring the entire dish of dessert onto his plate and walking back to his table. He did it so much the cooks stopped putting out new dessert because he would just come steal all of it! ☠️ it sucks cause I wanted some too!! Apparently me and my fiancé weren’t the only ones not very happy with the service and atmosphere. The couple next to us felt the exact same way and had similar complaints. I felt a little bad for the servers because they were working extremely hard to keep the atmosphere clean but they couldn’t keep up with these families who were literally trashing the place. In conclusion. - the service was a little meh due to the traffic of people, the food was ok as well, the cleanliness of everything was pretty bad I’m assuming also due to the high traffic. But the atmosphere of people that come in and have no manners or generosity is terrible. That’s why I won’t be coming back to this location. I’d rather go to the...
On 03/24/2025 we ate at the Golden Corral on Dressler Rd in North Canton. The food and atmosphere were good, but that waitrtes! We sat down at our table and a Girl named Evelyn was supposed to be our waitress. She was standing at the back of the section chatting with a table of 2 women and a child. This went on for more than twenty minutes. We got our plates of food and ate. We had to go to the cash register area with our drink receipt to get our drinks. Our waitress never acknowledged us , never brought us drinks or refills. Never stopped by our table. Three times we had to go to the counter to get drink refills. We have been there to eat at least twice a week for the last year or so. Worst service ever!! I have seen this particular girl ( Evelyn) there on many occasions, but she was never waitressing. She was always running the cash register, and that's where she needs to stay! She is not a waitress!! We finally asked to speak with a manager to complain about her and our lack of service. The manager apologized and gave us 2 coupons for dinner the next time we come. We appreciate it, but the owner or main manager needs to address this girls lack of job knowledge., and make it clear she is there to work, not to chat up the other tables for 20 minutes or more!! and when she wasn't chatting and showing pictures on her phone, she waited on everyone else in that section except us. Then tries to say that she didn't know we were in her section. Bull !! I will go back, but only when Missy B. is working!! She is the BEST...
