This is my second time here. Great food both times. Great service the first time. This time, the service was very poor. Anyone who knows me knows that I can be an excellent tipper. I waited tables many years ago, so I understand the job description very well. Now, if you go above and beyond, I'm talking exemplary service, you can expect to receive as a tip 50% of the bill. Heck, with a little effort and attentiveness, you will receive around 30% of the bill. I received none of the above. Our waitress took our order. However, someone else brought our food out to us. This seems to be the norm in many restaurants, which I absolutely hate. For me, it tells me that my server can not handle taking orders and serving food. If this is how the establishment does it, then stop that. Second, after receiving our food, I had to wait until I was almost finished eating my food to get a refill and to be asked how everything was....I mean, I'm eating it. Had there been a problem early on, I would have had to flag down my waitress....not good form. Let me tell you something that will improve your tips, alway always always check on your customers after the very first bite! Always! And never let them go thirsty! Ever! Never wait until your customer is almost done with their meal to ask. Let's do the math. My bill was $55.00. With good service... just good service, my waitress would have received $16.50. With great service, she would have received $27.50. With the service I was given, I left my waitress a $6.00 tip. Around 11%. I didn't even want to leave that much, but I am not completely heartless. I am not picky, I don't make ridiculous demands of my server. Just ask me how my food is after the first bite and keep my drink filled. I don't complain or have a bad attitude if you don't. My tip will reflect how well you did. I will be back. Everyone has a bad day, I suppose. However, if I receive poor service again, I will not likely return. Seriously, great...
Read moreHad a lovely lovely time here today. The male host was very professional and accommodating. Me and my husband had a very delicious meal and the sweetest waitress. I had the Farm Stand breakfast tacos and grits and he had the Tri-Fecta and million dollar potatoes. Both meals very tasteful and not overly seasoned or salty thank goodness, lol. The potatoes he really liked...I also enjoyed the potatoes but without the bacon, yet super yummy. Their whipped butter was awesome. He gave his meal an A. I prefer more of a hard taco than soft, but these tacos were melt in your mouth yummy... BUT, the butter grits! Omg, idk! The grits had me at first taste. I had to ask what was in it, lmao. The black beans that came with my meal were fine as well. The only thing I feel the tacos needed was a sauce of some type to go with it...Maybe an avocado drizzle sauce? Anyways, I gave my meal an A-. This was our first time eating at this restaurant and they did not disappoint. I truly loved the menu and service today. I gave this place 4 stars, but if I could they deserve 4.8...
Read moreUgh. I don't even know where to start. I ordered avocado toast with smoked salmon. You would think the kitchen would know how smoked salmon is served (cold). The smoked salmon on my avocado toast was warmed up (either microwaved or fried 🤢). I alerted the server. The toast was taken back and a few minutes later it was brought again. This time the salmon was again warmed up but put on a small cup on the side.... I explained to the server how the smoked salmon is served and was still served it wrong... The server was visibly annoyed. I can understand it's frustrating but it's even more frustrating for the customer to get it wrong the first time, explain how it should be done and get it wrong again the second time. I ended up just setting the smoked salmon aside and ate eggs and avocado toast. The first watch should issue a memo or something to it's cafes as it is not the first time this happened to me at Columbus/Cleveland locations and it happened at least twice at this...
