McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Jackson Township

The food was delicious and staff were nice but I did not have a great experience. Had my 3 year old granddaughter with me. While we were eating my husband texted and asked me to bring him a sandwich. So I figured to save time I'll go order now and finish our food while we wait. My granddaughter's poncho was on the seat with my 1/4 sandwich, a side of mac n cheese, a partially eaten chocolate chip cookie and our drinks. Go to the counter and decide I'll order a baked potato also to eat later. Pay for the order with 20% tip added and she said you can wait over there. I said we are over here and gesture to where we had been sitting 3 minutes earlier. Our table has been bussed. My granddaughters jacket has been tossed behind the counter. The lady who bussed the table offered us an upsized mac n cheese for the child's side & my quarter sandwich that had been tossed. That's fine. We wait, trying to coral the 3 year old for 10 minutes - not fun. Finally I'm handed a paper bag with Mac n cheese in it. Here you go, sorry about that. Okay where's my other order. There's another order? Yes, orange cranberry club with tomato cucumber salad... Do you have your receipt? no. They rush the sandwich. I ordered nachos. I really liked the nachos when I was physically in the restaurant. So I ordered some for delivery. I got a box full of chips, which is expected. A cup of chili, also expected. A cup of diced tomatoes, two avocado slices, and some olives. Less than I would have thought but okay... Where's the cheese? WHERE'S THE CHEESE?! There's no nacho cheese on my nachos that comes with cheese! I asked for no jalapeños, not remove the most essential ingredient from the nachos! (There wasn't sour cream either) I'm disappointed. I liked this place, and then they crushed my soul. I was feeling really sad too. I cheated on my diet for these cheeseless nachos. But hey, at least I got refunded. Yep, refunded a whole $0.37 cents for the $10.99 cheeseless nachos. The cake was pretty good, so thanks for that. You had your chance, and you've wasted it for a cup of melted cheese. I thought we had something special together. Instead, you used me for what I was worth and threw my cheese away when our relationship got too complicated for you. Above and beyond!!! 💍💕🍾 I just have to say how absolutely amazing the employees are at this location!!!!! I placed a catering order for my sister‘s bridal shower at Mcalisters and not only was the ordering super easy and affordable but everything was delicious and they went above and beyond by including SEVERAL SURPRISES that was not ever expected!! I never informed them that it was for a bridal shower, I only requested that they label my sister’s order “bride” since she is the only one that’s vegetarian. Upon opening the box that had most of the order, the bottom of the box was layered with white petals, pearls and jewels! Not only that, they included a huge container of white wedding M&Ms that were never requested AND they gave my sister a white sleep mask that said “bride” on it! We were all completely surprised and couldn’t stop talking about how amazingly nice it was that they did all of that!! Like what other restaurant would do all of that??? I cannot say enough good things about them for going out of their way to make the day incredibly special!!! You guys are...
