I accidentally left behind some merchandise from TJ Maxx at the register at Five Below. I called after after realized, and spoke to a male manager on the phone who confirmed that they did have my items behind the counter, and he said he would hold them for me until I came to pick them up. I go into Five Below where three female employees nervously scratch their heads and look around, telling me they can’t find my items. They tell me they took them back to TJ Maxx since it was their merchandise. I told them about the male employee who told me he would hold them for me, and they said his name was Kaiden, but assured me they took them back over to TJ Maxx. I even asked “so if I walk over there right now they will be there?” And they all said yes. So I walk over to TJ Maxx, wait in line, speak to management and watch their poor employees tear their register apart looking for my items. Management informs me that no one from Five Below has turned anything into TJ Maxx, nor contacted them in the last several weeks. So, I walk back over to Five Below. I ask the girl up front if she’s positive she can’t find them, and she lazily looks around the register again. I said forget it they were cute clothes whichever one of you stole them just enjoy it and walked out. I understand I shouldn’t have forgotten them at the register, my hands were just so full at the time. If I had called and they never told me they had my clothes to begin with, there would be no issue. But after Kaiden confirming on the phone that he had my items behind the register and describing the items to me, I assumed they would still be there when I came to the store to get them. After hearing what he told me on the phone and hearing what TJ Maxx had to say about the situation, the only possible solution that makes sense is that an employee at Five Below assumed I would never be in to pick them up and stole them for themselves. Shoot if somebody would have just said “we didn’t think you’d come get them tbh so I took them home because they were so cute I’m so sorry” I genuinely would have been like shoot it’s whatever have a good day. But these employees were so visibly nervous and uncomfortable that I kept questioning them and there would be absolutely no reason to be acting that way if they actually had turned them into TJ Maxx as they said. Very unprofessional and immature behavior. Pickup some more shifts so you can go...
Read moreTook my daughter here for her birthday bc she loves all the cute little things I'd heard that they had. Well, $100+ later, I would say it's a good place to visit if you have kids, especially girls, bc they have a little bit of everything. My daughter loves to draw & paint & she found so many great things to paint with like brushes, paint & paper. For everything we bought, I would've easily paid double+ at any another store for all the calligraphy pens & all the neat things she loves. Now they do have alot of things that are really cheaply made, but there's also lots of things worth the money. Very cool store. Much bigger to than I thought it would be for sure. Very clean & or together nicely. They also have a huge selection of cute t-shirts with lots of cute things on them. If you have kids, I would definitely check it out. They don't have actual registers, there's only self check outs, which was actually very easy to use. Even with alot of different items. There was a girl there that watches over the registers & she was very helpful to us since it was our very first time in the store & using thier self checkouts. She explained how to do everything & its actually pretty self explanatory, but I did appreciate all her help. We will definitely be...
Read moreI just want to know, what time does five below close this evening, on Saturday? Because the door says 9:30 p.m., the website says 9:30 p.m., everyone else in the store believed it was 9:30 p.m., but here we are, we have 18-year-old employees snatching things out of our cart and won't let us scan our own items telling us it is imperative that we leave right now because they're closing at 9:00 p.m. . Not 9:30, 9:00. I understand, at 18 years of age I also wasn't very far along when it came to treating people properly, but that's no excuse for snatching items from someone's cart and essentially escorting them to the front a half hour before they are supposed to close. As a biracial man in Grove city, I get bad looks anyways; I don't like going into a store that usually makes my kids pretty happy and being escorted and followed the whole time anyways because it was half hour before they close. To this one, not going back I think. I hate it though, because my kids actually...
