My daughter wanted a tea experience for her birthday, so the search was on. We've tried a couple of others in our area but they didn't ticket all the boxes, so with cautious optimism we stepped into Ashes' Boutique. Fortunately, Ashes' delivered! Variety of teas to choose? Check! Individual pot of tea per person? Check! Carb free options? Check! Delicious sandwiches? Check! Yummy pastries? You guessed it, check! You walk into the boutique where they have a collection of lovely clothing. There is also a table with jars of labeled teas for you to smell and peruse, deciding which one you'd like to have without only reading a description. This is a great idea and really helped us make our choices. They even had one on display that didn't make the menu, and we were able to order it by name. The interior is absolutely lovely. You pass toward the rear into the tea room section where two rooms are beautifully decorated. It is not a huge space, but ample and cozy. The menu allows great flexibility to only order what you want, with choices from soup of the day, to salads, to sandwiches. You can also order the afternoon tea which includes sandwiches and pastries. This makes it easy to accommodate everyone on the party and order exactly what you want. Everything was delicious, service was excellent, and the tea was perfect! We had a great birthday tea, including a gift of tea bags for the birthday girl. Tips: There is one bathroom that also serves as the changing room for the boutique, so be aware. Tea makes you, er...well, you know. Parking was easy to find across the street, but I imagine during beach season this might be a little more difficult as you are a stone's throw from the ocean. There is a cute shop across the street that sells artisan crafts and other treasures if you need to idle a few minutes. Happy to say we've found our tea house and will be back next year if not sooner!

Some friends and I decided to do a ladies lunch and chose this because it would be fun, and something different than a regular restaurant. It was everything I expected and more! We dressed up in dresses and hats, one friend even wore lace gloves! The tea was delicious, and the food was really good and tasty. Just an FYI to others who commented on portions, it's a tea shop and not a restaurant so it's not large portions. This is not a complaint, it's what "tea" is, it's a light meal/snack to tide you over until dinner. It was exactly what we expected, light and airy and charmingly decorated. Everything was delightful and we already want to go back!

My daughter and I had such a great time at this charming tea house! We ordered the Afternoon Tea Tray and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience. It started with jam and crackers, which were simple yet delicious. Then came the beautiful three-tier tray with tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, and a selection of desserts—all beautifully presented and very tasty. The tea was wonderful, and the overall atmosphere was cozy and elegant. The service was excellent—friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed browsing the retail shop—it had so many lovely items and gifts. A perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable afternoon. We’ll definitely be back!

I booked a reservation at Ashes Tea Room through Google, and received a confirmation email showing the correct date and time. When we arrived, the owner told us the reservation was actually down for the following Friday. I showed her the confirmation, but instead of acknowledging the mistake, she insisted they "don’t do Google reservations"—despite clearly having taken it—and then shifted the blame to AI.

Mistakes happen, but what really disappointed me was the lack of effort to make things right. We had planned this outing around my visiting grandmother and young children, and couldn’t simply reschedule. A sincere apology or a gesture of goodwill (a gift card, some tea to-go, anything) would’ve gone a long way. Instead, we got pushback and deflection. Customer service is about how you handle things when they go wrong—and unfortunately, Ashes Tea Room...

Called to make a reservation for a Christmas themed high tea. I was told they were offering a special Christmas tea. I asked if they were able to accommodate a vegan diet. I was told a couple of times when I made the reservation and confirmed it that they could. When my daughter and I arrived we had a reservation. There was a table open but when we asked why we could not be seated we were told that it was reserved for a reservation after ours! There was no special Christmas high tea and there were no vegan options. Very disappointed. The service was slow and we never got the milk for the tea we asked for 3 times. I would not recommend this place. We drove an hour. We will not return despite the 25.00 gift certificate they gave my daughter for being unable to offer any options. The experience...
