Let's start at the door. We walked in at 10:01 on 04/24/2021 (Sat night)
We were able to snag a spot at the front of the parking lot just as someone was pulling out so we were already in a great mood. As we walked in the door, we felt the positive energy of the restaurant and were greeting by the smiling faces (or what we could see of it over the mask) of the hosts.
We were then escorted to a corner table while the host made sure to make small talk with us and walk at our pace with us to keep us comfortable. We were escorted to a larger booth that had been cleaned and sanitized.
Our server Tyra was prompt to greet us within 3 mins of us sitting down and despite it being the last hour of what only looked like a busy Saturday night, she has the most wonderful attitude and pleasant dimenear while taking care of us.
As we were waiting for our drinks to arrive, the manager in red came by our table. "Hemi guys, my name is Lani and I'm the manager tonight. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for coming out."
We have worked in hospitality before and that might have been the worst table touch I've ever seen. She was the least authentic, didn't care at all and was just in a rush to deliver her prepped script. Almost as if she could go back and tell her boss with a clean conscious that she 'talked to every table'
We were looking through the drink menu and Tyra helped us make a decision on the delicious Kenny's Cooler (drink in Blue). It has coconut rum and some fruity flavors. It was a solutelt delicious. I wanted the Dark Hourse Cabernet and was able to get a 9oz of that.
We ordered for some potato skins and some bread with extra butter. We love the butter and we're happy that our request was honored. Unfortunately they were sold out of the potato skins starters so we dove right into entrees. We got the biggest sirloin with two baked potatoes.
Food arrived in about 13mins, which is brilliant for a Saturday night!! The sirloin was a perfect medium, beuatiful grill marks and juicy red. Baked potatoes were hot and steamy, perfectly salted on the outside as well.
I like that every detail was payed attention to. Our server made sure we got an extra plate since we had let her know we would be sharing. The sour cream for the potato was also left on the side and each potato had its own side of sour cream. We appreciate the details.
Tyra was back to check on us less than 2 mins after food was dropped off and made sure we were comfortable. She came back after we were close to winding our meal down and offered boxes, when we said no and asked for the check she promptly already had it ready to go, we loved this!
Tyra was back promptly after I out my card down and cashed us out. If there was one thing I would wish to be different, Tyra should have cleared some plates while dropping back the charged card receipt for signing.
All in all, great service! Thank you Tyra and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo tonight was my first time ever visiting a Texas Roadhouse. I would have never even thought about eating there, but I got a gift card for Christmas and didnāt want it to go unused, as I felt that would be kind of rude of me. The second I walked through the door, I was greeted by five different people which, number one, was the most annoying thing in the world. Number two, it confused my party and I. We didnāt know which person to go up to at the counter in order to be seated. Secondly, the person who walked us to our table had to be the slowest walker Iāve ever met in my life and we couldnāt hear a word they were saying with how low they were speaking. They had to repeat themselves three times and each time itās almost as if they started whispering. When we sat down we were greeted by our very friendly waitress, she was very nice and did everything we asked. My next complaint is the ballon guy. Why the hell is a balloon guy coming up to a bunch of adults asking if we want him to make us an ak47 out of balloons. Do we look like children that want to play with balloon guns? Additionally, there was a curly piece of black hair in our rolls, which none of us have black curly hair. Two members of my party went to use the bathroom, which only has one stall, and they watched an employee come out from going number two and didnāt wash his hands. There was paper all over the floor, one of the urinals had a wet spot under it. Why do we not know how to aim yet? The bathrooms were disgustingly dirty. The manager came over to us with bug eyes and stared at us until we answered her. We were in the middle of eating when she approached us and we found that very annoying. Several people stopped us while we were eating our meals. And notice how I didnāt say we enjoyed our meals. The beef tips were absolutely horrendous, they tasted as if they had been left out since yesterday morning and the gravy tasted frozen. The shrimp we got with another meal was overcooked. The mushrooms were overcooked, they were almost black. These arenāt hard things to cook. We are not at a gourmet restaurant asking for difficult meals, therefore I donāt understand why our food was so bad. Anyways, Iām not one to write reviews, but I had such a bad experience that I felt it was needed. I just canāt understand how people enjoy eating here? I guess a certain type of people will just eat anything if theyāre hungry enough. Hence, we will definitely not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is our usual spot to go when we have family in town for our last dinner together, we usually always have good service but tonight was not the best. We got a table almost right away, our server was Dawn and she took our order then 20 minutes go by then she comes back to our table and tells us she ālost our ticketā and realized it was never put in so she let us know that she was fixing that. Then came back a third time to confirm what our order was, wrote it down a second time, stated that she was going to mark it as āpriorityā so our food would be made next. Meanwhile she was on top of giving us bread or refilling drinks which ultimately filled up my kids so when we did get our food, they did not touch theirs⦠upon our food get served to us, dawn took over and told us she was sorry for the incident and that she let management know of the situation as well, which I donāt believe that to be true. A table was sat probably 20 minutes after us, same party size and they got their order taken and received their food way before us. I ordered a medium rare 8oz steak that came out over cooked and dry, I was just over the environment at that point and wanted to get out so I did not say anything which I understand I should have. I decided not to tip but my family member did. I believe our waitress heard us discussing that and while walking out, carrying my child, we were passing the front check in area when she gave me the receipt (which I did not ask for one and normally never receive one since using the tablet on the table to pay. She made it a point to hand it to me vs the other adult who was also on the receipt ), she said āIām really sorry about thatā I told her āitās fineā just trying to be polite and with attitude, she walked past me and said āyeahā. At that point I wish I wouldāve talked to a manager because thereās no way you lost our ticket, you just didnāt put it in and forgot about it. Then you want to give me attitude when I wasnāt pleased with your service? Then I ended up paying for meals that werenāt even touched or not made the way it was requested. My family and I were not happy at all about...
