(Editing the post since the store responded) I added Red Lobsters pricing and pictures which is cheaper and twice the size and portion. The snow crabs here are not the size as the ones you would get at any crab shack. They were tiny. Like when you get like 6 whole crabs and they fit in one tray. Dont let them fool you. If you compare yourself to Red Lobster make sure your snow crabs are the same size and you offer the same sides and customer service. Remember this review came AFTER calling the store trying to resolve it.
Food arrived cold. Orders advertised for snow crab shows group of clusters. Each 14$ order is one small snow crab leg.
These pictures are a 60$ meal lol (54$ plus a tip is 60$)
The plain fried rice that is (Plain) arrived with vegetables and onions in it. (He ignored this)
These pictures are a 60$ meal hahaha
These edits show you their customer service. They compare themselves to 5 star crab locations now.
When I called to inquire about the order the manager swore on the phone and called me cheap. He also started insulting me withing 5 minutes. (Store comment ignored this comment also, I called the store before any of this to address it and was hung up on. They won't mention that part though)
It was a 60$ order that was 2 snow crab legs and rice.
Delivery driver got there quickly.
However $5.00 Delivery Fee before the tip on a 1.3 mile delivery.(Store is located on Margaret. I live off Main street and Evergreen. Taking MLK makes it 3.2 miles but takes 5 minutes. Local is 1.3 miles. )
Manager hung up on me.
Manager also threatened me. (Haha)
So they commented and once again in their frustration still lied.
Also I checked the reviews. Someone dealt with the same exact issue 3 weeks ago when ordering the same exact food which they just added to their menu.
The manager literally did the same thing. Than compared his food to Red Lobster.
I'll add that review...
Read moreUnfortunately we never got to order the food because the customer service or lack thereof was sub par to say the least! Other restaurants in the area are cheaper and offered a level of customer service anyone would expect when spending their hard earned money.
The man who answered the phone became offended and confrontational when I questioned the price of the food. He went as far as becoming nasty when I told him I wasn’t impressed at all with his attitude. Instead of trying to assist and deescalate, he offered to cancel the order.
Merchants should understand that business is about obtaining and RETAINING customers and repeat costumers, especially being so close to the restaurant. The nursing staff was in my daughter’s hospital room while we were on speaker phone with this business and they advised they’d been receiving negative feedback and wasn’t sure if management had changed. They advised they would refrain from referring patients and other hospital staff from ordering from China Joy. We actually ordered from another restaurant in the area and both the customer service and the food was worth every penny.
After living in Asia for over 3 years, I know for a fact that it’s not a culture issue- Asia offers a level of customer service that is mind blowing and in some areas, second to none!! China Joy, you should rethink how you talk to customers. Without the customers, you wouldn’t have...
Read moreI went to China Joy because I saw in a recent review that they had good service and their food was best in the area. However, that’s just NOT TRUE. They are SIGNIFICANTLY over priced, for a Chinese restaurant overall, but for the area too. Panda House Chinese Restaurant right down the road is 20x better, with service, and prices especially. This place (China Joy) was charging $8 for wanton soup when most places in the area charge $2.50-$3 for a quart (seriously go look, no joke). My fiancé refused to order anything due to the price gouging (we are now as Hot Wok down the road to get the Wanton Soup for $3). Not to mention the guy who greeted me with the reddish glasses and upper arm tattoo was also quite rude and short, especially because I was being polite. Not great customer service at all and he’s the one that even prompted me to leave a review. I haven’t even got home to try their food yet but this has already left a bad taste in my mouth. I did order something but I’d also like to note they didn’t even give me a fortune cookie like other places in the area. Those small details are what we care about. This place is not worth the drive, AT ALL. Go to Hot Wok up the block for some cheaper Chinese food and head to Panda House about a mile away if you want the best overall experience (price and customer service, they’re so sweet and...
