The bar is set pretty high since there are SO MANY boba tea shops in Jacksonville. This one has been my least favorite. Location is inside S&R Dim Sum. It's basically a counter off to the side with 3 or 4 spots (no tables) to sit and wait in front of the counter. The chairs and couch were soiled and wet when we visited. Not sure if they had tried to clean them and they were drying or if someone had spilled something. I didn't realize they were wet and sat down, soaking my pants. They were saturated with water. The baristas were busy with a line, so I didn't make a fuss. The selection of teas was poor, we tried 2 or 3 items and were told they were out of stock. Instead of getting a taro tea, we got rose tea. I noticed the ice was kept in a bucket with the scoop on top of the ice as they were preparing our teas, and was immediately turned off. If I had seen the prep area first, I probably would have passed on ordering. Especially since they didn't have what I...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious with very fresh tasting boba. I got the ube milk tea with boba and my boyfriend got the black lemon tea with boba. Both were incredible- the ube one looked just like the menu picture. Love that you can customize the sweetness too.
Only a few minor things- the tea added to the ube was hot so I had both hot and cold in my cup. Surprisingly tasty but gets lukewarm quickly
edit- so I have been here a few more times and tried more of their options. Five stars still. Their white boba is delicious. Everything tastes really fresh, you can see them using raw ingredients instead of artificial flavors. The cheese foam is very delicious, kind of reminds me of sea salt ice cream. In fact so far the only con I have had here was what I mentioned about the hot tea in the ube (also happens with the taro). But tbh I don't mind it because of how flavorful and...
Read moreMy sons took me to this place for my first time. We ordered the Double Berry w/Boba, Caramel milk tea, and the Mango coconut milk w/Boba. All were good and it is neat that after you get to the bottom of the cup, which are large by the way, the mix also provides a different flavor combo. The location was cool and we arrived at a good time to find ample parking across the street. It is quiet, casual and has a eatery inside it too. We picked up some shrimp rolls, some dumplings and a siopao type roll to go. The staff is friendly and I even got to help contribute to the painting they had in the waiting area. I'm not sure if that was the owners that was joking with me about pulling up a chair and finishing his painting. LOL! The music came on for little bit, which added to the hipster jive, but then it stopped. It is...
